FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7
Feast or famine
We hope you like your football ‘Saturday heavy’! This may be a ‘DGW’ of sorts, and as such there are 11 fixtures, but 8 of them are on Saturday, with 3 in the 3 days that follow.
Villa and Brighton kick us off at 12.30pm. That is then followed by no less than six 3pm games; Bournemouth v Arsenal, Everton v Luton, Man Utd v Palace, Newcastle v Burnley, West Ham v Sheffield Utd and Wolves v Man City. If that wasn’t enough excitement then Spurs and Liverpool face-off at 5.30pm.
It’s then slow and sedentary each day. Sunday sees Brentford at Palace at 2pm. On Monday at 8pm we have Fulhham v Chelsea and then the ‘DGW’ concludes our weekend on Tuesday at 7.30pm, as Luton welcome Burnley.
The games in full…

Super Reds
Hi All
Tempted on hitting the WC button. What are your thoughts? This would be a potential draft (with Salah) versus my current team
Elleffcee
How many fts SR.
Super Reds
1 FT 1.2ITB
Elleffcee
Its not a bad squad. I’d actually bank the ft and have 2 fts for the international break.

What the best striker and midfield combo here with 13.9 to spend?
1) Neto & Watkins
2) Diaby & Alvarez/Hojlund
3) Find another 0.1 and get Diaby & Darwin
4) JWP & Darwin
5) Gordon & Watkins with change
6) Something else?
Thanks!
ODT
Saka left today with an injury in the 36ish minutes mark. I have not seen the match. Did it look serious? Is it time to drop Saka?
IvanTheTerrible
Arteta should have spotted the red flag after the injury signs Saka had in the last two games.
ODT
Who do you think the best replacement is? I am almost thinking of a -4 to get Watkins back and Saka to bench fodder.
IvanTheTerrible
I wildcarded last week and didn’t include Saka or Watkins which means it will take a hit to get the latter but not sure I will do it. In you case, think around Villa and WHU for a mid of you want to avoid a hit. Both have great fixtures ahead.
banjomaker
Sorry to repost, but might make my moves before price changes, i.e. tonight. Which of these is better in the mid-long term…
1) Watkins & Neto
2) Watkins & Gordon
3) Diaby & Hojlund
4) Diaby & Alvarez
Thanks!
banjomaker
Or…
5) Almiron & 7.6 on a striker?
ODT
What about Watkins and Longstaff? He’s got a goal and 2 assists plus one in today’s UCL match. Then you could have 0.5 for your defense.
banjomaker
Thanks ODT. Really appreciate your thoughts. Do you think Longstaff is a better pick than Gordon? Gordon would still free up 0.3 which would give me 4.5 to upgrade Gusto.
ODT
Either would work but Gordon was flagged last I saw so I was looking at differentials who seem in form.
Reg83
I ll go with 4.
inittowinit
Keep it simples. 4 here too.
banjomaker
Thanks both. Much appreciated. That option also frees up a FT and means I don’t need to do anything early.

+1

Newcastle killing it. 2-0 versus PSG.
Raziel
Make that 3-0.
