The last GW before yet another International Break. This one begins on Saturday as Ronaldo Man United welcome Rafa back to Old Trafford for lunch.

We then have four games at 3pm with Norwich taking the long trip up to Burnley, Chelsea looking to rediscover their mojo vs Saints, Leeds hosting Watford and Newcastle going down to Wolves.

Arsenal’s new resolve will then be severely tested by Brighton in the late game.

2pm on Sunday then becomes the new 3pm of a Saturday with three games all at once: Palace welcome Vardy and co, Spurs and Villa play hide & seek with their Argentinian contingent and Brentford make the short trip to West Ham.

Presumably they were all told to clear off early to make way for Sky’s inevitable mammoth build-up to the title decider as Klopp and Pep lock horns once more.

The games in full…

TAA to Azpi proved to be a good move. 10 points swing. Awesome

Going to activate my wc today. Always struggle a bit about how to approach it in terms of price rises. Not sure if I’m going to go with ramsdale, he is rising tonight so I will cost extra 0.1m if I bring him in but then if I decide to get Sanchez back will cost me 0.1m.

    1 FT, 1 M ITB.

Quick poll – would you WC this team? I know it’s really early but I will either activate it today/tomorrow, or not use it all (unless forced to by injuries).

If I used it, I will most likely ditch Jota, Benrahma, Sanchez, Semedo, Gilmour, Amartey, White and probably TAA (not sure yet). I will get some Arsenal, and Man City cover, Azpi, playing bench

      • Tornado says:

        Something along these lines

      • Reg83 says:

Why sell benrahma Sanchez Semedo or even jota? The other 2 are anyways bench fodder

        • Tornado says:

Long story short – fixture swings and inform players.

Long story long – I think Benrahma’s minutes will be managed (cups etc), prefer Ramsdale to Sanchez (fixtures), Semedo would be collateral damage (and I can’t wait for him to score/assist one of those gazillion chances forever tbh), and Jota/Firmino rotation is not for me especially when there are so many well-performing budget midfielders. My bench fodders are not really playing anymore and with all these uncertainties I’d prefer to have playing bench.

I know I don’t need to activate my WC but I never ripe the benefits of it and kinda misuse it every season. I am just trying to stay on top of it this year. I will think about it and will see. All the inputs and advices from the FF247 team and the community as a whole help a lot.

I’ve got a very similar team. It’s a no for me. It’s a long way to go till GW18 and I don’t see that many changes

      Special Agent Dale Cooper says:

There are not enough changes you would make to merit a wildcard i agree with Smash.

On the other hand, if you are a dedicated manager, like all of us on this forum are, then we tend to keep our teams well managed and up to date through our transfers anyway.

So saying that, you could argue that ‘on paper’ there will never be a good time to wildcard (mass injuries aside). So i think its more about a gut feeling on the potential upside of the wildcard than the amount of changes you ‘need’ to make if that makes sense.

Cheers SA DC. I am notorious for overthinking it. I have my WC planned since GW3 and I knew it’d be in GW8 (building as much TV as possible and having the opportunity to react to injured and/or quarantined players, etc). The “trouble” is that my team is in relatively good shape and I don’t really need to use it. I might leave it for the next IB.

It’s a no from me too Tornado.

      OddDane says:

That’s a no. This is quite close what many will be (or have already) looking for in their WC

      Cheers all! Appreciate it!

Dont see any transfers to be made leave alone WC. Maybe get livra or manquilo for amartey.

My team on FPL draft really benefitted from that Arsenal clean sheet laugh

(I play normal FPL seriously not this one)
