The last GW before yet another International Break. This one begins on Saturday as Ronaldo Man United welcome Rafa back to Old Trafford for lunch.
We then have four games at 3pm with Norwich taking the long trip up to Burnley, Chelsea looking to rediscover their mojo vs Saints, Leeds hosting Watford and Newcastle going down to Wolves.
Arsenal’s new resolve will then be severely tested by Brighton in the late game.
2pm on Sunday then becomes the new 3pm of a Saturday with three games all at once: Palace welcome Vardy and co, Spurs and Villa play hide & seek with their Argentinian contingent and Brentford make the short trip to West Ham.
Presumably they were all told to clear off early to make way for Sky’s inevitable mammoth build-up to the title decider as Klopp and Pep lock horns once more.

I always get suckered in with the idea of increasing TV
Well, if you do go for TV on a WC just remember the deadline and adjust your team before that time… Otherwise you might end up with a team of less than ideal players like Marçal, Tierney, Ramsdale, Gray, Pogba etc

Wildcard or just a hit to take out Ronnie n’ Pogba? In weighting your response, a few pointers – I have 1FT, 0.4itb oh and also, no wc left…

i am getting rid of cr7 and greenwood myself. but thats bcoz i need to get salah in who seems to be the only big hitter who is consistent. both cr7 and lukaku have let me down except in gw4. and i got in trent in gw5 and he has been injured since. but sold him and got rudiger which also didnt work out this gw

I think the only two you’re worried about is Jota and Alonso. I’d wait till after most of the games have been played and use a ft then.
Just take a deep breath and count to ten.
Then watch this watch…you are feeling sleepy…when I click my fingers wake up…and when you wake up say ‘I will not play my wildcard’.

I’m not that worried about Sarr, not at that price and his being at Watford etc. I’m sure he’ll click enough times.
However Shaw is getting on my nerves now and I may and hopefully will boot him out for Dias. I feel I need a reassuringly expensive upgrade there.
I don’t see many problems. You have a squad Alonso and Jota will get enough mins.

I’m hoping, as I’m sure many are, that the Brentford West Ham game is a high-scoring thriller.
However I did think, surveying the wreckage of another captaincy flop, why on earth didn’t I just keep it on Salah?

I’m blaming the fuel crisis for my fiasco this week.
If I hadn’t spent Friday evening storing petrol in my freezer* I would have had much more time to plan my moves this GW.

Qq all, with lots of price changes expected tonight, would you WC this team?
2FT & 0.3m in the bank to avoid the WC.
Would definitely be looking to offload Ronaldo, Greenwood, Sarr, Jota, Brownhill and Coufal.
Would possibly offload Sanchez, TAA (temporarily) and Toney.
With no WC, I would probably just transfer out Greenwood tbh, maybe Sarr/Coufal as well if needed.

Can’t see the team in full, but is not just jota+greenwood or ronnie+greenwood/jota or a combo of the three for a -4?
Sarr is not urgent to move imo, but well if you want to change all of them then yes WC early. But don’t do it just for team value, that rarely works out is my experience

Yeah sounds sensible, Greenwood is sure to go, but Ronnie & Jota will likely get another week before Lukaku needs to be introduced.
Your side is not linked and the above leaves too much to the imagination. I feel trapped in lingering fog.
The vibe on here is ‘no’ so your side had better be really bad.

For some reason, probably driven by trauma from another life, I’m not planning to wildcard yet. I can see why you want to refresh but 2FT or 2FT plus a hit will probably be enough. But if you fancy a wildcard just go for it.
Looks fine to me. Certainly don’t need a WC. Defence looks decent. It’s also a long way away from GW19
Is Alonso likely to be back next week? I’m thinking getting Cancelo instead of him wouldn’t be the worst idea as I already have Rudiger for Chelsea defensive coverage, plus Brentford put 3 past Liverpool
I’ll set up a Teams meeting with Tuchel and Alonso and will try to explore ways we can successfully arrive at an outcome both mutually agreeable and satisfactory to the wider community.
I’d steer towards the calmer we-never-rotate waters of City. (I’m planning on Dias.)
Alonso will rotate with Chilwell all season. Next game he will probably miss as he’s on international duty while Chilwell has two weeks off
Cancelo over Alonso is very good idea imo! Chilwell is now officially back, which means Alonso will be rotated, Cancelo won’t be rotated as much one would reckon because Mendy is out of the picture and he can play both flanks so think he’ll play a lot. Of course he’ll get rotated in the odd game as well, but less than Alonso I think!
I’ve got to hand back my (unused) Alonso soon in any case, to get back my pawned TAA. As per usual those pawning à so-called valuable item always lose out in the exchange! Welcome home in a couple of weeks Trent my boy, I have missed you so! Have slaughtered the fattened calf for the home coming party! Please don’t play the spoilt brat with me!
