The last GW before yet another International Break. This one begins on Saturday as Ronaldo Man United welcome Rafa back to Old Trafford for lunch.

We then have four games at 3pm with Norwich taking the long trip up to Burnley, Chelsea looking to rediscover their mojo vs Saints, Leeds hosting Watford and Newcastle going down to Wolves.

Arsenal’s new resolve will then be severely tested by Brighton in the late game.

2pm on Sunday then becomes the new 3pm of a Saturday with three games all at once: Palace welcome Vardy and co, Spurs and Villa play hide & seek with their Argentinian contingent and Brentford make the short trip to West Ham.

Presumably they were all told to clear off early to make way for Sky’s inevitable mammoth build-up to the title decider as Klopp and Pep lock horns once more.

The games in full…

Are there any better options than ramsdale on a WC? Is he likely to keep his place

      Kralin says:

Unless you wanna shell out big then he’s the best cheapo option as far as I can see, unless you fancy a semi-insane punt on Raya.

Seems to be his spot to lose.

I have the dilemma between Ramsdale and Sanchez…not 100% sure whether to stick with Sanchez. In any case both teams offer cheap def., thats a good thing.

        • Kralin says:

Agree, both are terrific for that, worked out well today, plus Arsenal offer (cheap) useful midfield options.

I’d probably have slightly superstitious reservations about dropping Sanchez. He’s been fine so far for the price.

      Kunal says:

Ramsdale will keep his place and likely to get more save points throughout the season.

      • GoalMachine says:

I do not really agree. Todays match is a good example.
        – Both Sanchez(2) and Ramsdale(2) have same save count.
        – Sanchez BPS(25) vs Ramsdale(26), but none got bonus as Cucurella, Dunk and White took it. This way, I would say Ramsdale has an edge as none of the ARS def.s are bonus magnets as such compared to Brighton def.s (Dunk, Duffy etc.). So Ramsdale might have outright chance of odd bonus.
        – So far in 7 games Sanchey(14) and in 4 matches Ramsdale(9) saves i.e. 2 saves/game which will not lead to any save points.
In a nutshell, you can pick Sanchez+White or, Ramsdale+Duffy in almost same budget to cover both teams. Playing the fixture game, Ramsdale might be slightly ahead. In a long run I assume there will be not much of a difference.

Yes he will keep his place. If Arteta has common sense.
      He is good option

whats the latest on any quarantine rules? Are the Brazil or ARG players gonna miss GW8? Or any other nations like Egypt??

      Kralin says:

That last sentence has given me the fear, Reg.

I have images of Salah stranded like Ozymandias.

      • Reg83 says:

i am going to finally get in salah but dont want any unpleasant surprises. will anyways wait till the day before deadline as IB can always cause some disruption

        • Kralin says:

Patience as ever is the key. I don’t know if Salah has been vaccinated nor if Egypt is red-listed but regardless of the latter all should be well assuming the answer is yes re the former.

I’d strongly recommend the film ‘Cairo Station’, from the 1950s, if you want to get into the Egyptian vibe. It’s a marvel.

      Smash says:

There’s no quarantine as long as the players are double jabbed. However Brazil and Argentina play late Thurs night so might not be back in time so may miss GW8 I guess

      Otieno says:

Egypt is now on the Amber list so that’s just a test before coming into UK and a test within 3 days of return.

For the south Americans, if they are fully vaccinated, players have to sign a code of conduct to accept control of their movement and contact but they don’t have to go into quarantine hotel and can train and play. If they don’t have both vaccinations it’s still 10 day lockup.

Any suggestions here. Not sure about jota now that firmino is back. Not sure about alonsos playing time. Not sure jesus is worth having, TAA injured but will probably just wait that one out. Got 1ft and 0,5itb…

Is it time for that wildcard now or not?
