We have a bumper Saturday for a change with no less than 7 games to digest. We imagine the majority will be hoping that (Captain) Salah doesn’t put an early dampner on their gameweek in his lunchtime visit to Watford. At 3pm we have a Villa v Wolves derby, Man U going to Leicester for a 4th place play-off, Man City’s bi-annual hammering of Burnley, Brighton hoping to see Norwich off to the Championship, with Saints and Leeds completing the set.
Saturday night (ish) should then be fun as Brentford and Chelsea slug it out at 5.30pm.
Sunday may be a bit short on games but they promise to be interesting ones if nothing else. The Moyes derby is at 2pm as Everton welcome West Ham.
All eyes will then be on the richest club in the world versus the tighest one as Newcastle host a live beheading on the pitch prior to kick off Spurs.
We then conclude on Monday with the Vieira derby as Palace go to Arsenal.

Well I activated the wildcard last night
Good luck. I can see why – I was looking at your side thinking, hmm, not too bad, a hit may do… then scrolled down to the subs’ bench.
I thought about doing it myself but will grimly hang on for a bit. A hit looking likely next week, however, as I’ll be joining the (no doubt) mass exodus from Man U (who’ll probably play OK versus Liverpool).
Yeah it could have been ok. Was certainly in between and I could have got by but risked falling behind. I got Vardy in but prob only to try and catch a double rise but think that’s unlikely. I almost hit the button Friday as well and prob should have.
I was tempted too – seeing that Shaw was going to be in my side another week depressed me – but instead got in Dias for Rudiger, thinking ‘easy 6 points’.
Will you be getting in Vardy? I’d be really tempted – in fact am tempted. There he sits, top of the striker pile.
I should probably do so myself, but I’ll solider on without it!
How would you handle this situation?
Alonso and jota probably wont play, and dont really know about rudiger yet. However livra helps out a bit…. Got 1FT and nada itb…
I think if you’re going to wildcard you need to step onto it immediately – however that side is looking wildcardable – Jota and Jesus would worry me a bit if I owned them as well as the injury headache with Rudiger.
(Please don’t say you’ve already wildcarded.)
Still got my wildcard, and it have crossed my mind more than once to activate it…
I know the feeling. My side is a bit off the pace, not that I’m overly bothered. I will wildcard if I lose a couple of players to Euro injury later in the week.
Any other wildcarders out there? Smash? What’s your plan.

How’s this? Keeping an eye on the news regarding dcl of course but he seems to be on his way back…
I think I would switch Tielmans & Regulian to something like Mbuemo and Cancelo/Dias. Maybe Antonio until DCL is definitely back? Not sure I would go for a scrub fwd, maybe a 4.5 mid instead, & Toney just for the depth?
+1 and I don’t think KDB is worth 11.9 either
How about this one then? White will be sacrificed for that 0,1 i guess… Dcl is antonio until we know more… Tielemans and benrahma are up for debate….
I activated my WC last night.
Got before Cancelo and Mendy had price rise.
The plan is to sell Mendy in few weeks for Foster once Sanchez fixture improve.
Will I have benching problem here!
Benching plus in Chilwell and Foden potential / certain rotation issues.
I really like it think I’ll have something similar. Though you don’t need Sanchez. I don’t mind the big squad as players will be rotated
My worry would be – ok, they’re rotated, but there’s rotated and 15 / 20 minute cameos. See Dias yesterday, etc.
I know that this type of circle is impossible to square and with some sides it’s almost impossible to get a nailed player.
That’s just unlucky it’s not likely to be a regular thing. I mean Dias is as nailed as it gets in FPL. You want to select players from the best teams and they are the most likely to rotate.
I like it, I think we need depth this year. I would be slightly worried Chillwell, Cancelo and Foden could all get benched, especially if you get some other players flagged.
Yeah I’ve got all three in my team and James. It’s unlikely they all get benched the same week though

Everton v West Ham
Hmm. Was really impressed by Pools display yesterday. Moat important thing I see is that they’re enjoying themselves very much. Also Salah and Mane seem to have reignited their what was said to be weak bond last year.
I actually think they downfall of Barca and Real might be good for the players that had doubts about their future in England. It’s obvious no country or club can complete with the epl. Maybe PSG but they will implode at some time. Hmmm. Such what happened with Newcastle.
Anyway. Pool look awesome. Of course it was Watford but I’ll keep a close eye on them the upcoming weeks.
Yes I listened to it on the radio and it did seem like they had found their ‘complicity’ again. Lovely team to watch at their best, regardless of who you might support. Bye for now!

I decided that Rudiger was my biggest problem so I jumped on Cancelo before I was priced out. So Ronnie (and my WC) have a reprieve for next week.
