FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 8

We have a bumper Saturday for a change with no less than 7 games to digest. We imagine the majority will be hoping that (Captain) Salah doesn’t put an early dampner on their gameweek in his lunchtime visit to Watford. At 3pm we have a Villa v Wolves derby, Man U going to Leicester for a 4th place play-off, Man City’s bi-annual hammering of Burnley, Brighton hoping to see Norwich off to the Championship, with Saints and Leeds completing the set.

Saturday night (ish) should then be fun as Brentford and Chelsea slug it out at 5.30pm.

Sunday may be a bit short on games but they promise to be interesting ones if nothing else. The Moyes derby is at 2pm as Everton welcome West Ham.

All eyes will then be on the richest club in the world versus the tighest one as Newcastle host a live beheading on the pitch prior to kick off Spurs.

We then conclude on Monday with the Vieira derby as Palace go to Arsenal.

The games in full…

Hmm. Ramsdale over Sanchez hasn’t worked out. Glad I have Duffy though.

Will White get an assist for his part in that equaliser? Surely.

Morning another day another draft. This one is 4-3-3 with a double pivot of doom

Hard to pick any holes in it. Only thing is there is not much to choose from the bench if somone has a nasty fixture or a knock, you end up having to go 5 at the back. I guess from earlier it’s Son and 2x 4.5 vs Foden and 2x 5.5. Hard to know.

I think it’s fine. A bench of dreck is what benches are for.

Doesn’t solve your keeping a few pence aside for Kane or Ronaldo, though – I still see Son as the easiest route to that as you’ve gone for four premiums.

I have a feeling Lukaku is untouchable in your side so does Antonio – Vardy and Son to Mbeumo work (in terms of spare change)?

I have to say that I quite like it myself.
Your suggestion works out well Kralin – it would cost Smash 16.1m to get in Vardy + Mbeumo (if current prices are correct on this page, then this’d leave him with 1.8m change). Maybe this would give some better alternatives in the ‘good value’ price bracket – like Douggie Luiz is 4.6 and I think he represents better bang for the old buck than Dunghill. It would allow for instance, Luiz + a more solid option like Doucouré/Gray/Townsend/ESR/Kovacic/N’Dombele/Hojbjerg/McGinn/Elyounoussi and co.
But I dunno if that’s the direction you want to follow!
‘Tis but me own tuppence ‘orth of opinion!
        Bye for now 😉

Really can’t fault you on this one! Wonderful balance – how much money ITB?
If you want to do a cheeky one week punt on Edouard (Palace) vs Newcastle, then change the week after that back to Toney, does this work out financially?
      Just a thought.
      Cheerio and good luck! 😉

      • piksi says:

        Thanks AJW, only 0.1 left.
Maybe I should scale down Brentford, but they have nice fixture.

        • AJW says:

No, stay with the Brentford boys – they’re about to explode onto the scene in a big way! (I don’t know when exactly, but with their fixtures it shouldn’t happen later than in 2 week’s time!). Edouard was just a sneaky option for this GW against Newcastle (has City in 2 weeks!).

So if Alonso plays in the CL, Chilwell will surely start vs Norwich? Dont think Chilwell will be rested 2 games in a row with his form.

If however Chilwell plays in the CL, not sure he plays vs Norwich

Would like to get Chilwell but rotation fear. Will be for a hit too as used a transfer.
