Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 8
As we are all now acutely aware we face a reduced fixture schedule this week with just the 7 games surviving.

It’s a bit of a strange old spread too as we begin with 2 games on Friday at 8pm as Villa welcome Saints and Fulham go to Forest.

Just the 3 on Saturday then with Wolves and Man City at lunchtime, Newcastle and Bournemouth keeping Jeff company at 3pm and Spurs and Leicester seeing us out in the early evening game.

Sunday then has just the pair with Arsenal’s short trip to Brentford at 12pm before Everton and West Ham conclude the week at just 2.15pm.

  2. Apparently Son scored three goals from an estimated xG of just 0.62 (to be confirmed) and had four shots, all on target – love to see it!

      Looked a mile off it, rightly taken out of the line up and returns a hat trick.

      Class player, out of form, but three wonderful finishes.

    • XG and XA are not applicable to SON historically and every FPL analysts probably has repeated the same again and again. This season SON is out of form. This Leicester match means nothing as they have the worst def. by miles. We can see over next 4-5 GWs how SON will perform. Having said that, I have always been a fan of SON (even as a Gunner) and hope he returns to form, but after the North London Derby.

  3. Would you think about wildcarding here for gw9 with this team? Think I’m set up ok but alot of people will be using WC and prob going for son.

    • Doesn’t ‘need’ a wildcard that’s for sure.

    • Yes no need for a WC, but probably plan to ship out Saliba with someone a better Fix and a better Gw12.

    • The issue is that I have 6 players not playing gw12 and only 4ft till then. WC gw9 I could have less arsenal but prob still two man city so easier to get rid for gw12 but then tricky to get back

  5. Want Salah’s price drop, its hanging on the wire, but not happening. I have the exact fund to do KDB to Salah. One goal by Salah against Brighton will push the price movement other way. That will put my KDB to Salah plan after 3 GWs put to bed.

  6. Haven’t activated my wc yet but thinking about it. How do you like this team? Maybe white to a 3,9 defender and change keeper… But apart from that?

    • No need to wildcard, just use your free transfers in the next couple of weeks to upgrade Ward. I’d drop White and Perišić.
