Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 8
As we are all now acutely aware we face a reduced fixture schedule this week with just the 7 games surviving.

It’s a bit of a strange old spread too as we begin with 2 games on Friday at 8pm as Villa welcome Saints and Fulham go to Forest.

Just the 3 on Saturday then with Wolves and Man City at lunchtime, Newcastle and Bournemouth keeping Jeff company at 3pm and Spurs and Leicester seeing us out in the early evening game.

Sunday then has just the pair with Arsenal’s short trip to Brentford at 12pm before Everton and West Ham conclude the week at just 2.15pm.

The games in ‘full’…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Not sure if I want to WC this. Maybe will use 1FT or even roll. What y’all think?

    Would you rather have:

    A) Kane, Maddison, ward

    B) Isak, Son, Raya

Do u think I would benefit from WC now or just wait till gw12. Team seems ok but I’ll miss out on some price rises

I have 3 city and 3 Arsenal players that have to go by week 12. I suppose they don’t all have to be gone but I can’t have them all and field a team that week. I have used my WC so that is out. I guess I’m asking who goes first? I figure I have 4 FTs to complete it with. One each week until then. I just don’t know where to start. Jesus has 4 yellows so maybe there? What do you all think? Or maybe I just FH that week so I’m not hyper-focused on shredding my team over four weeks ridding players I probably want to keep, like Haaland. What say ye?

      Elleffcee says:

Jesus is as good as any place to start with, a fiery North London derby could very well produce that 5th yellow card. A possible replacement could be Toney/Isak/Watkins. A bit of spare change will be left to possibly get Mo for KDB next gw.

Agree with Elle, Jesus out first for Toney.

The Spurs n’ Gunners games often comes with a fair bit of goals though so I think Gabriel would be the first to go in my book. Not much to it though Jesus to e.g. Toney could just as well work out.

I’m in the same boat, I’ll be working from the back up so getting Saliba out first, in your case Gabriel I dont see a clean sheet in either the spurs or liverpool game, then Jesus depending on if he gets carded then Martinelli.

City players follow after if I’m right you can make atleast 4 subs until GW12 by which point you can let the city players sit on the bench or take a quick hit

I have 3 ARS and 3 MCI too, and am just planning on using the FH in BGW12. I know we all like to try and maximise FH for a DGW, but if 6 players are out for one BGW then it makes perfect sense to me to use the FH.

      • The Padster says:

Or you could sell 3 with your FT’s and bench 3.

        • Chipster says:

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don’t want to sell any of them. ARS and MCI are currently first and second in the table, which is testament to their excellent current form, so I want to hold onto them. Also, I’d lose money by selling and may not be able to afford to buy them back later. FH allows me to field a full squad in BGW12 and then keep all my ARS and MCI players beyond that.

        • The Padster says:

It’s a little bit easier for me Chipster, i only have Martinelli and Jesus from Arsenal, the way i’m looking at it is Jesus is 1 YC away from a 1 match ban and misses GW12, so i shall probably get Toney in for him and someone like Zaha for Martinelli with 2ft’s GW10, I would only want Martinelli back out of them 2 as i’m trying to get funds to get Kane in the place of Jesus/Toney, there’s no chance i’m selling KdB, Cancello or Haaland, so i just bench them, well that’s the plan until somebody else gets injured anyway laugh1

I’m scratching my head with when to play the first WC. As I’m sure you’re all aware, we effectively get another after GW16 so this IB seems a logical time, but my team isn’t in dire need. Do I play it now as planned from the start? Or save it for the near future sometime?

      GoalMachine says:

If not now, then in Gw13….you can deadend your team by Gw12 selling ARS and City players (unless TV is massively affected). Then get them back in 13 as required.

      Stone Frog says:

A potential differential approach would be to hold MC and Ars, whilst most are binning them and then WC them out in the short week GW12. Not saying this is a good plan, but is a different option and means you can use transfers as you wish until then.

      banjomaker says:

Thanks guys. It’s feels like either now or GW13 make most sense. And if GW13 you’re only actually WCing for the sake of 4 GWs before the World Cup. What do you think to this? It’s actually not that many transfers, but dunno if it’d need much more. Still have no idea whether to burn it now or hold for 13 dash
