The New Year is here, but don’t worry GW17 is bound to disappoint you in the same ways the previous 16 gameweeks did in 2020. Everton and West Ham get it rolling with the early Friday game and Manchester United hosts Villa in the second and last game of the day.
Saturday brings us four more fixtures. Spurs welcome in Leeds, Palace gets 3 easy points vs Sheffield, Brighton tangles with Wolves and in the last game we see Championship contenders West Brom play Arsenal.
Sunday gives us three more matchups. Burnley play Fulham, Toon take on Leicester and then Chelsea duke it out with City.
Monday sees the last remaining fixture when Saints take on Liverpool.

One of the minorish debates I’ll be having is whether or not to move him on for Son for 18.
Problem is I’ll lose a lotta wonga cos I’ll probably get him back for the double.

Yeah that is tricky – I’d imagine there’ll be some people offloading him, maybe enough to lower his price a bit? I think I’m FHing him for KDB (my team’s in a bit of a mess for next week!).

Yes that could happen (price going down as KdB drifts into the consciousness of managers).
I need to work out if what I have is enough for 19 as I have more than enough for 18 (apart from Son).

I’ve no real intention of losing him (long-term). May well captain for 19 as nobody else will be (apart from 25% of other managers I daresay).
Have decided that if I do ditch him then DCL will have to be tossed aside in order to get him back (bit of a profit there).

I’d want him long term. But if you sold him now. Price drop could happen over the next 2 gws. Could get lucky with kdb

No, he was in a fine run of form and had a good set of fixtures. Liverpool have stalled quite badly.
I suppose this stalling will make him a differential captain for 19.

I was going to swap KDB for Salah next week and take KDB out in 19 for Salah …now I am not so sure about this move…

A couple of GW ago KdB was being completely written off. But class is permanent, etc.
As ever it is tricky to juggle Salah/Bruno/Son/KdB. One will always be out of favour in a particular GW.
It may be a case of how lucky are you feeling?

91 here. Fair to say my best GW so far. I even have Forster sitting on my bench with 6 points but there was no way of me predicting Saints’ CS, let alone Forster’s heroic debut of the season. I should have asked my magic 8-ball! :laugh2:

Er average I hope, just did enough, I tend to check the morning after the GW ends for the final score (I prefer to find out that way rather than get overly engaged during the GW).
Have a feeling neither of my Liverpool players will be amongst the bonus points.

For a while now Salah has not been what he used to be.
Will swap him out for KDB next GW.

Might follow you on that one bees. Might wait till after the cup game. City playing in the blank, having 2 in the dgw and his 3 games after look good too.
Where as Salah has a blank, manu in his dgw (usually not a big scoring match) and 3 after not as good.
Only issue with kdb is with kun back I’d assume hes off penos

Have never hated this game like this in any season in the past. Nothing seems to be working.
