Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17.
The New Year is here, but don’t worry GW17 is bound to disappoint you in the same ways the previous 16 gameweeks did in 2020. Everton and West Ham get it rolling with the early Friday game and Manchester United hosts Villa in the second and last game of the day.
Saturday brings us four more fixtures. Spurs welcome in Leeds, Palace gets 3 easy points vs Sheffield, Brighton tangles with Wolves and in the last game we see Championship contenders West Brom play Arsenal.
Sunday gives us three more matchups. Burnley play Fulham, Toon take on Leicester and then Chelsea duke it out with City.
Monday sees the last remaining fixture when Saints take on Liverpool.
The games in full…

Off
Least I’ll get 11 point Creswell coming in for Taylor
Damn no Fulham or Burnley players in my starting 11.
Hmm.
Are Fulham likely to do this every week till the end of the season, just to avoid relegation? Sort of extreme delaying tactics ! When your back’s to the wall, anything is worth a try!
How does it work with player prices when free hitting? Should I be looking to take out players who are dropping and bring in potential risers?
You can’t make any money when free hitting by buying/selling players.
The only thing that it would be useful for is for the value your free hit team, if you are 0.1 or 0.2 short for the team you would like, then it makes sense to sell the players who are dropping.
But it doesn’t help for the following weeks, you just get your team back.
Have you already activated your FH? If so, it is worth go after price rises and falls. Next round starts in 10 days, and could be the difference between having a player you want and an alternative. The prices rises and falls will only affect your team for this week though, you don;t bank profits for future beyond FH week.
Thanks no I haven’t activated it yet. Should I do it now? Was thinking of waiting unless any fixtures are cancelled but then I only have 5 players for gw18 so almost certain would have to play it anyway
Same position as you with only 5 players. Unlikely as it is, there were suggestions of all games being postponed because of covid, so I’m holding off at the moment so as not to waste my FH chip.
Pascal Struick is playing all games and is 3.9m.
Don’t want to jinx it but is he settled?

Will play until Cooper and or Llorente are back. Cooper might be back GW19, but not known for certain.
Since Strujik has come in they have looked more solid as a whole. I wonder if Bielsa thinks the same.
Captain Kane
Kane scores. Told you. With Bergwijn Kane and Son do better. Bergwiin does little to nothing fantasy wise but he helps those two get more points.
He just got a nice assist
Fantasy wise I’m happy he plays… for some reason with him starting both Son and Kane het way more points. And he usually gets little to none himself. That’s probably the biggest criticism on him
Anyone know why the majority Capped Son?
I captained Bruno lol do I don’t know why the masses went for Son. I guess because of his potential for double digit scores.
Son goal, that’s why he’s captain.
Leeboy. I have him. But I was just curious why he was called over Kane by many. Kane is on penalties. I read something about Kane becoming father again?
Yeah, Kane’s child was born a few days ago, but that wasn’t part of my thinking as he was definitely playing.
Thinking was Leeds are very open at the back and open for counter attacks. If teams sit back, it’s more of a ‘Kane game’, whereas open teams who play high up the pitch and attack like Leeds are more of a ‘Son game’. That was the gut feeling anyway.
Bergwijn assist..
So he caused the penalty…
Kanes goalscoring drought started when Bergwijn was benched or not even on the bench the last 3 games
