Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17.

The New Year is here, but don’t worry GW17 is bound to disappoint you in the same ways the previous 16 gameweeks did in 2020. Everton and West Ham get it rolling with the early Friday game and Manchester United hosts Villa in the second and last game of the day.

Saturday brings us four more fixtures. Spurs welcome in Leeds, Palace gets 3 easy points vs Sheffield, Brighton tangles with Wolves and in the last game we see Championship contenders West Brom play Arsenal.

Sunday gives us three more matchups. Burnley play Fulham, Toon take on Leicester and then Chelsea duke it out with City.

Monday sees the last remaining fixture when Saints take on Liverpool.

  1. How’s things lads!

    Can anyone explain the bonus points to me? Kane scored a pen.
    Son had a goal, assist and CS but doesn’t get the 3 bonus points and Kane does. What am I missing?

    • Nevermind. I’m missing a Kane assist hahaha

    • There’s a section of the FPL website with the full run-down of how BPS is awarded. Go to: Help->Rules->Scoring->then scroll down to the How is the BPS score calculated? section.

  2. Can’t tell how happy I am that Bamford blanked, for a change. He’s been killing my ML rank for the season now.

    • If your team is linked, why not DCL to Bamford? Or McG to Bamford? He’s such good value and great for team structure.

    • I meant in general for the season. Bamford is close to essential for me.

    • Depending on your plan for GW19 and your FTs.

    • Probably not if you can add one or two decent players to the team.

      You have good big hitters and MCI for a CS is a solid gamble imo, so no I probably wouldn’t (wait for c-19 news and potential GW18 added games…:wackosmile

    • I’d leave that as it is and wait to see of any cancellations. My team for GW18 is:
      Walton (won’t play)
      Konsa – Dier – Kilman (probably won’t play)
      Bruno – Son – Bissouma
      Kane – DCL

      I’d really like some MCI coverage though but don’t won’t be able to do a straight swap. So I’ll probably FH. Not planning to BB GW19.
