The New Year is here, but don’t worry GW17 is bound to disappoint you in the same ways the previous 16 gameweeks did in 2020. Everton and West Ham get it rolling with the early Friday game and Manchester United hosts Villa in the second and last game of the day.
Saturday brings us four more fixtures. Spurs welcome in Leeds, Palace gets 3 easy points vs Sheffield, Brighton tangles with Wolves and in the last game we see Championship contenders West Brom play Arsenal.
Sunday gives us three more matchups. Burnley play Fulham, Toon take on Leicester and then Chelsea duke it out with City.
Monday sees the last remaining fixture when Saints take on Liverpool.

Who to bring in? 1FT – thinking of Shaw or Bailly but will they to start? I think Shaw swaps with Telles. LIndelhof supposed to have surgery, so out.
Or any other ideas that work for DGW? 9 players enough?

I would be inclined to downgrade one of your sub strikers to Brewster as assuming you will play 5 in midfield. This would allow Dias or Maguire over Bailly who is still a rotation risk. Or you could use the money for a better keeper in theory anyway. Nice team.

I’m likely to have a Newcastle defender in my team as they’re playing Sheff Utd who have only scored 8 goals in 17 games. Leno or Holding out to avoid double Arsenal to mitigate risk.
I’d be inclined to have a playing second goalie, just in case.

Smith-Rowe assist for Arsenal,thats 2 in 3 games,only 4.4m could be a bargain ! Was at Hudds last season on loan,really talented young player.
I was just reading up on him after his part in a lovely Arsenal goal. Very tempted to take a punt as my cheapo bench mid.
