Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17.

The New Year is here, but don’t worry GW17 is bound to disappoint you in the same ways the previous 16 gameweeks did in 2020. Everton and West Ham get it rolling with the early Friday game and Manchester United hosts Villa in the second and last game of the day.

Saturday brings us four more fixtures. Spurs welcome in Leeds, Palace gets 3 easy points vs Sheffield, Brighton tangles with Wolves and in the last game we see Championship contenders West Brom play Arsenal.

Sunday gives us three more matchups. Burnley play Fulham, Toon take on Leicester and then Chelsea duke it out with City.

Monday sees the last remaining fixture when Saints take on Liverpool.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. Hi folks,

    Just doing some forward planning.

Would you FH this team or use my 2FT and a hit for BGW

    Thanks

    • I think you’ll get away without using FH.

      • Thanks I’m just thinking it may be needed another time.

        • Use FH for DGW more points

  2. This is the FH team I have managed so far.
    Please suggest. ITB 0.0

Laca or DCL? (or anybody else?)
    Double City Defense?
    El Ghazi?
    Pickford?
    Anybody else?

    • Not Pickford, bring in for example Leno and change Smith Rowe to someone else.

      Jamie

      • Smith Rowe CP(home) is on form and good value i play him over El Ghazi T(Home)

    • Like :good2:

    • Anything to change before BGW???

  3. Planning this for 18. 0FT & 0ITB.

Hope my rank will not drop too much.

  4. How does this look for a free hit?

  5. Would you free hit this team? Currently leaning towards not FHing

    1FT and 0.6 ITB

Could use FT and maybe even a hit if the player coming in has a double gameweek following.

    Suggestions?

  6. I wonder if the GW is cancelled as a result of a lockdown

    • Boris will have a briefing at 8 PM.
New harder restrictions are coming. Let’s hope they don’t include football.

    • The last (serious) lockdown happened just before a BGW.

I’d hasten to add I do not think national lockdowns are being imposed to dash the plans of well-organised fantasy managers.

Not sure if the Scottish lockdown = professional sport ending for the duration.

I daresay the English lockdown details will be leaked (if they haven’t been already).

      • Yes, the Scottish football is not affected. We can only hope that Johnson doesn’t go a step further than Sturgeon.
