FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
After a GW that somehow managed to drag the Christmas schedule into mid-January and past the FA Cup 3rd round, due to a mini-DGW, we now land on another DGW, this one with a few more teams involved, well ok 2 more, but it’s something….
Just to complicate matters it’s a Friday start with Villa and Leeds getting us under way.
The 1st of our DGW teams kick Saturday off with the Manchester derby at 12.30 before we then have Brighton very much welcoming Liverpool, Everton fearing the Saints, Forest and Leicester continuing the relegation theme and Wolves wearing down West Ham, all at 3pm. Brentford and Bournemouth round us off at 5.30, in probably the least enticing game of the lot to televise!
On Sunday we have Chelsea vs Palace along with Newcastle vs Fulham at 2pm, before the NLD at 4.30. All 3 should be decent.
The doubles themselves take place on Wednesday and Thursday with Palace welcoming Man Utd (let’s hope it’s not foggy again…) on the former day and Spurs going to Man City on the latter.
The games in full…

The City saga continues
Stones and Dias back in training
KDB absent

Having City players really is a “damned if you do and damned if you don’t” type of situation.
Make of this what you will! https://twitter.com/city_xtra/status/1615503692035411969?s=48&t=Y9DqTP-lOQkYNClr3KAmMA
That’s a good news. Or, is it? One assist in 5 games.
Let’s hope gets back at his best as they have another DGW23.
How about this.
A. Martinelli to Odegaard for free?
Or
B. Keep Martinelli and take a hit for..Almaron to Odegaard & Azpil to Bueno?
A
C. Keep Martinelli and do the trades for free after GW 21.
Seconded. A feels super sideways, unless you already have 2 FT and literally nothing else to spend it one
Start Walker or White?
Stroller
Still football to play, but getting in early.
FTx2
ITB: 2.4m
Was thinking:
Mitro & Martial->Kane & Greenwood (I know Kane is 1 booking away from a ban, but might be worth the risk, and I know he isnt scoring at the moment, but think he will shortly)
Thoughts please.
Howdy, I think if I had that team, I would be looking to do Kulu -> Odegaard and maybe Martial -> Toney.
Botman – good moves. Part of me still wants Kane, despite the potential ban and lack of goals. I think they will both come soon (especially against us!! – the goals that is))
Kane is no longer at risk of a ban, when spurs completed their 19th fixture the 5 yellows and a ban moved to 10 so Kane is fine (as is trippier conversely)
Cheers Rosco for the update
Is it worth getting Kane in then as per my suggestions above?
Is Ferguson affordable?
How about something like KdB and Martial for Ødegaard and Kane? Feels a bit more balanced
(Greenwood feels less and less likely to get minutes imo)
Ferguson – 0.1m short.
Can do KdB&Martial – >Odegaard & Kane. (Agreed on Greenwood seeing as they have just bought a new striker).
It will only leave me 1 City player – but peprotation + CL games means it may be worthwhile at the moment.
Arsenal have a dgw coming up, and will have 3m ITB if i wanted a City player (KdB out of range at moment obviously)
Palace v Man United
Martial not even on the bench. Ouch!
He was always a risk to have. Just wonder who to replace him with…
Toney or Gnonto perhaps. Weghorst, Isak or Wilson maybe. Hmm the choices are many :/
Dane, sounds good but sadly with zilch in the bank have to look elsewhere.
Nketiah is an option, especially with a double soon on the horizon. It might sounds crazy but Johnson from Forest could be a great punt with the upcoming fixtures.
Johnson is a decent value pick imo, as long as he keeps his pens. Nketiah too, but Jesus may soon come back in contention I suppose and he takes up a spot va Ødegaard, Saka, Martinelli and White
Worth 4ph Mitro to Toney?
Who to move to pay for it? Walker to who? Mitro to March?
1FT – 0 ib
Cheers guys
3 Man U on bench, could this be risky, what if the win
Sorry not 2 my bad, all red
They could…and I give the home team the better chance. Almost a toss up.
Prob not
