Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 9

‘Tis a weekend of three derbies in the Premier League and we are underway on Saturday lunchtime with the Merseyside variety (What? Liverpool? Saturday luncthime? After an international break?) – taking place at Anfield with Everton hopping over Stanley Park.

At 3pm, Simon and the boys (TM Init) host half of the weekend’s card with Bournemouth v Wolves, Brentford hosting Burnley, Manchester City v Brighton (which, why aren’t you on the TV?), Palace long-hauling upto the Tyne and Forest welcoming Luton.

Our second derby of the weekend sees London’s West meet North as Chelsea play Arsenal at the Bridge.

Sheffield United v Manchester United sees out a phenomenal Saturday’s action at Brammall Lane.

Take the rubbish to the dump, give the grass the final cut of the year, fix the dripping tap (or speak to the family if you are really desperate) as we don’t have any PL action until 4.30pm when Aston Villa play West Ham United. That’s our one and only.

The gameweek ends with a London Derby in N17 where Spurs lay out the welcome mat for Fulham. Monday at 8pm.

    Hi guys,

Should I do the below for -4 this week?
Neto and Salah on for Odegard and Son?

I already have Saka and Maddison.

Or is a hit not worth it, especially with Odegard facing Sheffield this weekend?

    Thanks!

Baldock is -98% towards a drop. I would put another 3.9m in for now (maybe Taylor). Can always bring Baldock back in before deadline hopefully for 3.8m. The 11 looks strong, the bench is what it is.

Looks good. I wouldnt be comfortable without son i a wc team. But not really sure on how to get him in. Maybe Gabriel to tsimikas could make that happen? But solid team anyway….

Stick to the plan for gw10? 1 FT for Mitoma to Saka? 0.2m itb. Bit worried with Trippier’s high ownership sad

    Hello everybody,

I was planning on proceeding at my own pace, and WC much later (between GWs 14-18), but now a series of unfortunate red arrows, due to not owning players like Salah & Watkins has had me on a downward spiral. Was just planning to do 2FTs + on Son/Foden/Botman to Salah/Palmer/Tsimikas, but am dallying with the idea of a WC this week (to flush away my woes!)
    Current team is: Areola-Turner
    Saliba-Botman-Anderson-Romero-Beyer
    Saka-Bowen-Son-Maddison-Phoden
    Haaland-Darwin-Alavarez
And this is the way the new team would look (would involve doing a minus 20, with my 2FTs, so I guess it could warrant a WC?):
    Yea or nay?
Thanks for reading thus far! smile

      AJW says:

Or rather Gabriel instead of Romero at the back!
But I refuse to get rid of Alvarez, Saka & Bowen! I think they’re going to be very important in the near future! smile
Thanks people! (Am I one of those ‘Take, take, take’ people? Rather than a generous giving person???) smile

      constantine says:

Hey AJW. I think Saka is a must, given their fixtures. Anderson, Botman, Beyer, Foden and Nunez could leave. So, yeah, WC could be activated imo. Won’t be keen on losing Son as him being their striker.
