Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.
The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.
Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.
Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.
The games in full…

Double everton attack with DCL and Rodriguez or stick with DCL and add Zaha?
I currently have Traore and with Wolves’ run I’m thinking about adding Saiss for Bellerin, but I’d love to WC and through in a front three of Werner, DCL and Jimenez and do a reshuffle.
So much to consider with still half the game week left to play!
Both are good options. But id suggest Zaha to diversify.
Thanks The B, I think I’ll go Zaha, as they also have a good run and look good under Hodgson. I’m going to see how Saint-Maxim plays today and go from there!
Hmmm I’m in a pickle. Defence is worrying, I think I want DCL and Zaha, I’m doing Aub to KDB so that means to get dcl I need to get rid of Werner or Vardy (I’m pretty sure it will be Werner) Am I panicking? X
I’d look to upgrade Saka and/or ASM, would probably favor Jimenez for Vardy and KdB for Auba. This leaves you with 2.0 to upgrade for I think. Even more if you jump the DCL bandwagon instead of Jimenez
Thank you, I don’t particularly want to get rid of Werner I just want DCL and can’t see how other than moving Vardy it Werner X
Wouldn’t advise getting rid of Werner at all.
Baffles me why so many have sold him
Thank you, I don’t particularly want to get rid of Werner I just want DCL and can’t see how other than moving Vardy it Werner X
Southampton vs Spurs.
No Bale.
Cheers B
You expected Bale to play?!!
:suicide:
Golf? Yes.
Prob playing golf as we speak
Wow, Palace do have a decent set of fixtures coming up.
Looks like price rise predictions have been updated for all City and United players. Like any transfers before this GW did not count.
Yes, I’ll admit to a knee jerk hit to avoid a price rise which hasn’t happened !
So pre-GW1 and pre-GW2 many fantasy managers thought it critical to have ManU coverage – Fernandes, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood to name a few.
Holding my hands up, I started with Fernandes as well. Even made him captain since he was playing against Palace – not my best decision
Man Utd were rubbish though -reminded me a bit like they were when OGS got confirmed as manager.
So here are my questions –
1. Does OGS actually know what he is doing?
2. Is there any need to have a ManU player in a FPL side?
1. Yes. One bad result doesn’t undo getting to third in the league last season whilst also the last four of the Europa League.
2. I wouldn’t transfer any out yet.
Hmmm – one wonders how much the collapse of other teams helped Utd for the final positioning.
Looking objectively, ManU under OGS seems to have streaks that are both good and bad.
IMO he has a very long way to go to prove his managerial credentials. Three or four bad results and he will be talked about as a possible early sacking candidate.
Don’t disagree that he has a lot to prove – that’s undeniable. It wasn’t that long ago when he was managing United to wins against City playing Pep off the park tactically.
1) No he’s not the best
2) I think a United player will still prove to be well worth it. I think they were just behind on training and will soon settle down
Start with vs Beek and get some proper central defenders.
United has a shit defense with Lindelof and Macquire. HILARIOUS how much English teams spend on mediocre English players. Money down the drain.
They could learn something from Marcel Brands at Everton.
