Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.

Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.

The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.

Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.

Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.

  1. Justin cs gone to sign this week off in the failing trend.

    • Mind you, I had to buy the turd because I failed to have my team looked at and worked out before the first gameweek. There are failures and than there is this.

      • Early days yet plenty of time to recover

  2. I’m happy with the points that I’ve got in the first 2 weeks but looks like I’m having far too many players that I would like to get rid of.
    McCarthy, Vinagre, ASM, Wilson, Auba, Bissouma, Davies( I can keep him for the next few weeks), Justin and Mitchell might lose their place. I’ve 2 FT and I was thinking Auba -> Sterling and ASM -> Podence. Do you think this team warrants a WC or should I just go with the 2 transfers?

    • I can see the temptation, but I can’t help thinking it’ll be better served at a later date for you. The majority of your team is good. And I like your proposed moves.

    • Use the 2FT and a possible hit if you fancy. Save the WC

      • +1 Use 2FT Auba – – >Kdb and Saint Maxim–>Pereira?

  3. Damn what a difference a week can do. After pegging 90 in week 1 and sticking to my plan of Son to Bruno, the FPL gods decided to laugh upon me this week. Yikes! Now I am questioning it all. Plan was son for Bruno in week 2 and PEA to KdB in week 3. Now I have to think that through. I was just so certain of my plan this year. :suicide:

    • Chill out. If you had players who performed last week and didn’t do so much this no reason why they won’t next. It’d be more worrying if they all blanked twice.

    • I had the same plan. But had to do auba to KDB first cos I didn’t have enough in the bank to do son to Bruno. But I held off and gave a chance to Auba against whu. I got lucky about Son. I will wait for the city game and then reassess. Bruno will certainly come good, don’t worry. I will definitely get him but not sure when

  4. Anyone wanna try and talk me out of a WC? I’ve got 1FT and 0.5 ITB. I’m about 80/20 in favour of WC at the moment.

        • For what it’s worth, I’d have DCL and Martial over Mitro and Kane. Fulham are crap.
