Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.
The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.
Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.
Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.
The games in full…

Off for bed. Goodnight people.
WC draft. Need Chelsea players for their game against WBA. Werner can later become Jimenez. Suggestions please?
Hey Constantine, get in lamptey. That’s a balanced squad.
Mitchell cheap too!
Neilos. Already have Ryan. Double Brighton def!! Hmmm
Costa to Podence…… better fixture, provided he starts (we can see tomorrow vs City).
Looks good
Obviously missing some Leicester and MU cover but we cannot have them all :scratch_one-s_head:
I know the fixtures aren’t great but feel like Lamptey/Justin/Ayling/Dallas should be considered in defence on a WC.
Hey guys!
I really dislike my team but I am having troubles setting a WC draft that I feel good about. Auba&ASM/Brewster out (-4 hit) or WC?
Team doesn’t NEED a WC in my opinion. ASM and Doucoure need to be addressed over the next few weeks, Auba move is ideal considering fixtures but not strictly necessary.
Any money itb? Would personally look at Auba to Son and upgrade ASM/Doucoure.
Thank you, Mr Bean (there is a sentence I never thought I’d say haha)!
1 FT, 0 ITB.
Moves that I was considering were:
1) Auba&ASM to Son&Hames;
2) Auba&Brewster to Son&DCL (this one I have to do tonight in order to afford it)
3) Getting MC cover somehow.
Find attached below my current WC draft.
I know it’s not necessary to use my WC but kinda feels like I am delaying the inevitable.
Positives of being on holiday for the past week: no time to follow through on Son -> Rashford or Ings -> Martial transfer plans for GW2 from pre season.
Negatives of being on holiday for the past week: Not had a chance to pass anyone on the eye test, and it seems like there’s a lot of options around.
Team below, £0.5m itb, 2FT. Don’t really like a lot of the team but don’t think a WC is needed, with good Chelsea and Soton fixtures over the next two.
Mulling over a few options outlined below:
a) Auba -> KDB/Sterling: selection based on the Wolves game, obvious proactive move with Arsenal’s fixtures but not strictly a necessary transfer
b) Vinagre -> playing defender, gives bench coverage, but £4.5m options of intrigue (Lamptey/Ayling/Justin) don’t have the most appealing of fixtures to make the decision easy now
c) Soucek -> Costa, but, as above, could probably wait a week or two for such a move.
Don’t think I need to use 2FT this week. Leaning towards option A, with 2 FT the week after to address Vinagre, Soucek, Bissouma and Havertz, and look at Leicester/Wolves/Everton coverage.
Thoughts?
A) Makes most sense, it gives you an extra .5 to upgrade Soucek the following week or even use to upgrade Vinagre as well.
Great reasoning behind all of the proposed moves. Probably A) now. Then next week either B) or Havertz to someone else if he blanks again.
Hi all
Would you say my team needs a WC? I have one FT and 1.4ITB
Ryan McCarthy
Justin TAA Mitchell Taylor Doherty
Salah ASM Auba Traore Stephens
Werner DCL Mitro
No.
ASM is probably your most pressing transfer if his injury is bad. Otherwise, Auba to City player works. Don’t think Doherty is good long term but no rush to get rid.
+1
Auba > kdb or
Asm > son or bale and get kdb next week
I dun have mny option in mid since
Asm injured , bissouma red and soucek has diificult fixture
Can you afford to do ASM to Son in one straight transfer?
Yeah gp
I like that then (not seeing anything else).
+1
