Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.
The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.
Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.
Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.
The games in full…

Thanks Padster. Marvelous work as always! Huge collating work every week mate. Much appreciated.
Thank you for these Padster. I’m not checking your homework – I’ll assume these are spot on.
Great work. :good:
Shit! I will have to double check now
Any ideas what to do this week? Was planning Auba to kdb but if ASM is injured need to deal with him first. Is it worth taking a -4 to do both
Make two lists – one of the 6.5mln midfielders you would have and one of the 7.0mln ones.
Who do you prefer in each?
Wow what a disaster of a GW and it could get worse later. Already on a -4. Prices dictated that so far from ideal with all the mid week games to play. I kind of feel I am limping towards that wildcard I just would like more data. Those that had a shocker week one seem to have had a stormer in week 2 and are ahead of those that had a good week one
I gotta hand it to you – your advice made me think about plans to get in Bruno for Son (and a -8 in the process) – saved my transfer. phew.
now I plan to have minimum transfers to have a decent starting XI on a gw-to-gw basis till I use my WC when the transfer window ends.
Thanks mate!
Nice one glad it worked out
If it’s any consolation, Smash, I had 2 disastrous GWs :laugh2:
I know what you mean re WC, I dislike my team and prices are changing all the time but my WC drafts are all different and all over the place. I think I will be doing my second hit of the season which is absolutely ridiculous, considering the fact that I took 3 hits in total last season. I am desperately trying to hold on to my WC and use it after the IB, as planned but things just don’t click ATM.
What’s your plan?
I did Sterling and Son in for Havertz and Auba already. Havertz did not work out and had to go. Unfortunately I had to move before I saw City play. Yeah my team has some problems. I’ve not had the best of starts probably very Very average in truth as I’ve seen some big names have worse. Yeah limping to the international break I think or the week after. Those that wildcarded week one have not done that great so I’d like to see a bit more. I kind of feel I’ve got to wait till the window shuts
Solid moves, Smash! Havertz looks like he needs time. Once all the new boys are ready to play, Chelsea will look way better.
I am between:
1)Auba&ASM/Brewster to Son&Hames/DCL
2) Auba & ASM to Sterling/KDB & Klich/Podence/Townsend.
Such a mess tbh, I am so indecisive this season, definitely having hard time putting my team together.
Good morning guys.
Excited for city’s new campaign today.
Btw how many have activated their WC for this week?
I have.
hi guys
here’s my team
mccarthy
taa justin lascelle
salah auba son ayoze
martial mitrovic wilson
bench: nyland stephens mitchell walkerpieters
peres>zaha or wilson>calvertlewin?
Wilson – >Calvert Levin for me
Those both seem like upgrades to me but I think I would actually go with the Zaha one.
Can you do Perez to Rodriguez
i can bring rodriguez in for now, but not if his price rise.
But i’m more convince with zaha or calvertlewin, but cant take these 2 because i dnt have enough fund, and with calvertlewin’s price rising in the coming days, i have to act quickly. :s
Wilson to DCL is the easiest decision.
Hit my wildcard yesterday before all the price rises. I’m settling for the team below at the mo
Ryan/Mayland
James/Mitchell/Justin/Saiss/Gabriel
Zaha/Salah/Sterling/Son/Rodriguez
CalvertLewin/Jimeniz/Davis
Davis is a permanent bench fodder. I have 0.7 sitting in the bank which I’ll used to change justin/Mitchell when they are dropped
My sticking to a 3 5.0 defenders , 5 mids and 2 forwards. Any other 5.0 defenders do you think I should consider?
Maybe Coleman/Keane.
Try Taylor instead of Gabriel and save up more cash.
