Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.
The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.
Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.
Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.
The games in full…

People are literally making same mistake they made with Son by selling Werner. Chelsea were good against Pool unitil red card and still conceded only 1 goal (other was Kepa’s blunder).
And Werner was good too maing runs! Think he’s going to score big against West brom.
Werner will probably be my captain next week, over whichever City player I bring in.
Holding Havertz for exactly the same reason but remember seeing his average position against Brighton was very deep so he will probably be ridded of after that.
I’m not happy with my team really and would probably shift 6/7 players in an idel scenario, but 2 weeks data isn’t enough to gauge:
a) Are Everton assets that good or is it skewed by 45 mins against 10 men?
b) Are Palace really defending that well?
c) Are Southampton that bad/will they improve if they stop trying this high line?
d) Are Leeds budget assets worthy or will they be found out (Norwich started so well last year and look what happened there)?
A) Yeah but they do also look quite good
B) Palace under Hodgson have always defended pretty well. I think they may have dropped off last season once they were safe.
3) They have surprised me how bad they are. They could sort it out after that result
D) Not sure I think they might regress
I’m ok with Werner but I saw enough of Havertz not to be convinced in short term. 8.5 is not cheap
Cheers Smash for the responses, have 2 weeks worth of MOTD to catch up on now to try and make some judgements.
I’m keeping him purely on fixture, I agree his stats are not good and I don’t want to keep him beyond this game.
Mr bean everton have looked good certainly but Cp will be tight, next is brighton who have been good defensively and Pool after that so not rushing to them.
I agree about Werner, I will be captaining him this week. A nice haul from him could help me in turning my season around. Those who were patient and held on to him could be in a much better position than others who would be scrambling to get him back in
He looks pretty decent. It should be just a matter of time before he starts returning. The players returning shortly should help with that
Gundogan has tested positive for COVID-19.
Afternoon fellas,
Just playing around with possible wildcard teams, will probably be in a better position to make decisions after City vs Wolves tonight.
Which one would you prefer between these two? Accommodating two premium mids (to play 3-5-2 rather than 3-4-3) makes the rest of the team suffer, not sure if it’s worth it. But also don’t want to risk not having any City assets if they look good tonight
Another option could be to only switch DCL and Jimenez >> Jesus and Mitrovic/Bamford, but once again would have to watch the game tonight first. Jesus could be an excellent differential and cheapest way into the City attack
Second one is more balanced
It definitely is, just happens to be lacking a City mid which could be a fatal mistake. The only other way to bring one in without upsetting the balance would be sacrificing Salah, which could also be a mistake. Difficult decisions everywhere :jumpy:
I’ve gone without a city mid in my draft. I also took out Trent to give me more balance at the back for now. Want to set and forget. No united assets either lol
I’ve got 11 of your player by the way
HOT OF THE PRESS – C.Palace have offered Liverpool 19mil + 6mil add-ons Plus a 35mil+ buy back ( cant remember after how long) which seems to be a great deal for Liverpool for a player who has not played in the PL yet but had a great year with Swansea last year. At 4.5 he could be a great 3rd striker. I shall wait a game or two BUT ?
This would be brilliant
But they just got bats and eze, seems odd to me.
CPL have dismissed it as having no truth
Who looks the best 5.5mid right now.. I have ASM who has been horrible thus far.. The Leeds have been brilliant. Out of Costa, Kilich & Harrison who plays the most attacking? Most upfront usually..
Make sense of this if you can?
Between costa & kilich it’s close for me but kilich on penalties just edges for me rn
Is this worth it for a -8? Auba/asm/vardy – kdb/son/DCL. Other option is -4 Auba/asm – klich/kdb.
Don’t like taking hits but trying to talk myself out of a WC.
Comment 229 was meant to be here
Leicester have looked good and have great fixtures after City next gw. Would keep vardy definetly not worth -8 as you also have James for everton cover
