We hope you enjoyed your break from all things football… apart from the Club World Cup, the Women’s Euros, the pre-season tours, the tin pot cups, etc, etc. You get the picture. Anyway, we are back to FPL this week, so let’s go take a look at what this week’s menu is serving up…
Well, it’s a 4 dayer for starters, and a Friday deadline only really raises one question, in true Jason Cundy stylie… ‘Haaaas anyone seen Raz?!?!’
Liverpool and Bournemouth do the honours on Friday at 8pm (6.30pm deadline……..)
Villa and Newcastle get Saturday underway at 12.30pm, with Brighton v Fulham, Sunderland v West Ham and Spurs v Burnley following at 3pm. Wolves and Man City conclude us at 5.30pm.
2pm on Sunday sees Chelsea host Palace and Brentford visit Forest. Man Utd v Arsenal is the 1st Super Sunday offering at 4.30pm.
Leeds return to PL action on Monday at 8pm with Everton and Jack the Lad the visitors.

I’m not watching this match but based on these stats, Everton are still Everton. 1 shot in 60 minutes is horrible.

If Leeds had someone remotely clinical as forward, they would have been 3 goals up by 30 minutes, the amount of corners and chances they had in the first 30 minutes, I had to remind myself that Leeds were the promoted team and Everton were the established Premier League team. Runners not being tracked, defenders watching the ball at corners, scuffed chances, soft hits straight to Pickford, blocks, and I thought a Moyes team would be ‘solid’.
LEE definitely showing up. Will be interesting to see them vs. ARS.
That’s good. Think I’ll be holding my transfers then.
I have Saka mainly bcoz i thought of this fixture. Considered c him next week but think have to stick it on Haaland again. Regardless how Saka performs vs Leeds, will probably sell him due to fixtures but dont know to whom.

That should solve Arsenal’s creativity back up role for Odegaard and importantly serve as an alternative for Martinelli, front three of Saka Gyokeres and Eze with Odegaard Rice and Zubimendi midfield, the back four five are settled . Arguably the strongest Arsenal XI in a long time. Eze probably the cheapest way into Arsenal frontline now
I don’t see Eze signing as a back up player. He could have walked into any starting 11.
Anyone doing the German Bundesliga fantasy, If so, how the hell do you pick your captain ?
I stopped playing this last year after they abolished the PC/laptop version as the mobile app is a total crap.
I fiound it ok, once i got used to it. Just can’t see anywhere to pick a cappo.
I’ve not played for a few seasons, but from memory there was a 1.5x captain available for Defenders, Mids and Forwards (so three captains each week). They may not have been called captains though. That was instead of the usual captain type choice in FPL.
Yes, Chips is right. You pic a star player for each position and these are your captain(s)

Theres no cappo, just star striker, mid and defender. They score 1.5 times their score.
Yeah will setup a team. U select 3 star players for each position except gk and they get 1.5 pts. Another peculiarity is if ur bench players score more than anyone in ur 11, they are auto subbed in. Basically ur best 11 score pts depending on ur formation. Not to mention 1200 pts a gw is like an average score.
