We hope you enjoyed your break from all things football… apart from the Club World Cup, the Women’s Euros, the pre-season tours, the tin pot cups, etc, etc. You get the picture. Anyway, we are back to FPL this week, so let’s go take a look at what this week’s menu is serving up…
Well, it’s a 4 dayer for starters, and a Friday deadline only really raises one question, in true Jason Cundy stylie… ‘Haaaas anyone seen Raz?!?!’
Liverpool and Bournemouth do the honours on Friday at 8pm (6.30pm deadline……..)
Villa and Newcastle get Saturday underway at 12.30pm, with Brighton v Fulham, Sunderland v West Ham and Spurs v Burnley following at 3pm. Wolves and Man City conclude us at 5.30pm.
2pm on Sunday sees Chelsea host Palace and Brentford visit Forest. Man Utd v Arsenal is the 1st Super Sunday offering at 4.30pm.
Leeds return to PL action on Monday at 8pm with Everton and Jack the Lad the visitors.

The early indications are that Manchester United have signed well this pre season.
This is a tough test against Arsenal but Mbeumo and Cunha have shown up well.
United the better team. Deserve at least a draw.
Agree, why do I have Bruno, he was not even close to the goal.
That was a tough game for United. Fair to say he will be closer to goal in future matches

Early for both.
Just one GW is absolutely not enough to make any assessments. A bit of clarity is possible after GW 3 but still might not be the entire picture. Don’t forget, you can save up to 5 FTs if possible and then do a mini WC to separate the wheat from the chaff . Avoid the so called “experts” who might start talking for an early wildcard.

Bruno of the 2. But now since u have him wait atleast till after Burnley in gw3.
You both could be right, I had 5 forwards blanked. Palmer, Bruno, Watkins, Rogers & Pedro. Wish I had at last Wood. Had him in draft for a while.
Bruno looks set to play cm this season so likelier to get his points off set pieces.
So I am quite happy with no Arsenal coverage. But still Palmer to Saka that plays Leeds is very tempting. Noticed Palmer had a different role than at teams worldcup, where he shined. Definitely need to assess him the upcoming games.
I think you have to see how Leeds plays tomorrow. Maybe they show up like Sunderland did and you might rethink it. Palmer deserves more than one match me thinks.
I believe you’re right ODT. If we start knee-jerking in round 1, then the rest of the season is gonna have us in convulsions! I am determined to wait and see with my lot. Even gonna hang on to Konsa in the immediate future, to build up a few FTs, before replacing (if need be). I feel strangely detached from it all this year (and will probs finish 1.1m at the end, but I don’t mind!). We need more data before acting (to which you will see me furiously trading after GW2 in order to get the latest band-wagon picks!
