Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18
The International break is here and it is of course time for another edition of Bore Off! This time we have given the 3 Amigos a break and found their possible replacements in the near future. 😉 Bry is welcomed in, many of you know him from his other work on the site or perhaps you have seen him busking on the tube in Japan. Banjo also joins us, luckily for him we have only asked him to answer questions and not make the coffee. However, I would still keep my distance as he answers, for your own safety. Last and least (according to FPL) is Smash, who we have asked as a form of therapy for him. Hey, let us get on with it and see what The Last SamuBry, Wilshere x8 and Hulk Smash have to say about their seasons so far and what is to come.

Evening all.
Allways like reading these avoid articles. Ha.
Got 2 transfers. What would u do?
Richie to one of Watfords inform miss. See if their is an update over the weekend. Other then that pretty solid.
May try up rods with the spare funds
hey Shane,
it depends I guess on your chosen formation
I’d seriously consider killing Mikhi or Salah to make JRod into a decent 3rd striker, preferably Jesus but that may be a stretch.
Could do Micky to Fellaini
J rod to morata. Init.
Can’t afford Jesus
Harry Kane can score in October
Bless, looks like you’ve been trying all day to say words, and they finally came out 😉
Eheh brilliant sense of humor there init! Good point also Floydeth!
He won’t get it, he’ll be fuming
:big-lol: tbf I’ve been trying for the past 2 weeks :see-no:
Which one to go with?
The five sided triangle involves either going with –
Jesus / Lukaku / Ince – no hit, dead simple, keeps Lukaku. But Ince….
Or
Jesus / Laca / Silva – no Lukaku here and a hit involved. But no more bloody Ince! His fixture this week is ok but they’re crap after that.
Feels like you are Ince-oriented here so maybe just replace him for someone like Richarlison and reassess?
I wouldnt mind losing Luk that much but I wouldn’t be doing it for a hit. The same with Laca. I would prefer Jesus to both of them also but, again, not if a -4 is involved. Tough one really. You also have Ritchie, what’s the status on that? If he’s out, maybe roll Ince once more and have two FT for gw8?
Thanks for the answer DMC, I think! Think you’ve confused the issue possibly more than I did in the first place though.
Let’s start afresh – what what you do with this lot?!
Well when you put it like that I must ask if you have considered pushing that red-Ish button on the top left corner…
The big 3 upfront are making your mid to weak but you know that.
Well I know what I wouldn’t do – sell Lukaku for a hit with Liverpool ahead.
I would probably either save it if Ritchie is ok and reassess or bring someone with better chances at points on that 6.0 bracket and Richarlison springs to mind! For Ritchie if he’s out, or for Ince.
I can’t understand why there’s such a rush to get rid of Lukaku before the Liverpool game!
Not in a rush to get rid of him at all. It’s more just whether that makes more sense overall for my team.
I know you’re not necessarily in a rush Init but plenty appear to be.
I think the reasons are:
a) people want City attacking coverage and with Kun out Jesus appears to offer great value at 10.5 – an immediate saving of 1mln over Luk;
b) short term fixtures favour City
c) the fact that Lukaku is carrying this knock and we’re in a busy period of fixtures.
d) international break boredom
But Lukaku plays Liverpool!!!
yeah but Mourinho is not going to attack Liverpool and leave themselves wide open to the counter is he? He’ll keep it tight and aim to nick a goal in a 0-1.
It doesn’t matter what United do. Lovren & Co will create chances for them.
so you see a goal fest?
No. But I see United scoring at least two.
If my WC was currently active I probably wouldn’t include Lukaku but at the same time I wouldn’t advise anyone to get rid of him ahead of the Liverpool game.
Even if they had Ince in their midfield?! 😉
Hmmm….
Top one looks much better to me. I don’t think Lukaku + 2 points for Ince will outscore Silva + Lacazette over the next few GW’s – Gives you until GW12 to come up with a plan to bring Lukaku back in
Thanks Robbo, that was my original plan and definite line of thinking on the whole thing. Then for some reason got cold feet on selling Lukaku but taking the two as a whole package over a number of weeks defo makes some sense I think.
It is the high ownership of Lukaku that keeps him in my team.
I prefer the hit option Init. Gets you 2 top players as opposed to the 1 and after last years conversation point I don’t fear calculated hits like I used to.
Morning – I’d agree – Silva and Jesus are excellent options assuming they come back from the internationals ok.
Agree with milburn init. Hard with lukaku and his ownership
Great work guys. Nice bit of fun while the break is on. Much better than watching the Socceroos try to match it with Syria.
I would have liked you to have asked Banjo how many versions of his WC team did he have?
I’m on my WC team now and I feel like Banjo, so many variations, so many questions……
Keep up the good work.
What keepers rotate well with Elliott?
What about Simpson and Mee?
Bundeena, I was playing with a wildcard draft y’day and got Pope to play alongside Elliot. I think Gomes also rotated quite well.
Simpson and Mee are both good WC choices – Simmo has a run of fixtures now where you would be happy to play him while Mee is a good option if you have someone to rotate him with.
I believe Leicester rotate well with Newcastle. Over the next 11 weeks one of them play at home 9 times and also have a good GW8
Morning all.
Got 2 ft
Which option sounds better. ?
A. J rod to morata. Micky to Fellaini No hit
B. J rod to Jesus. Salah to coutinho. Micky to Fellaini. -4.
C. Different 4.9 player instead of Fellaini.
Cheers guys
Or second option to morata. So have more money to spend
Shane,
Morata is injured. Jesus should prob be your premium striker target or Vardy for an easier route into 3 decent strikers.
Yeh is cookie. Chance he might make palace now. I haven’t no Chelsea cover. So u think option b?
J rod has let me down I was with on thinking he could have a good season.
shane, I’ve been disappointed with J Rod also. I would get Jesus mate – with Chelsea playing Roma shortly after Palace, I doubt Morata is risked even on the off chance he is declared fit, which I think unlikely, but that’s just my opinion.
Cheers cookie. J rod price keeps going down. Time to get rid. My midfield will look iffy. Unsure whether to do transfers now. Can only just afford it
I would wait personally Shane – most of these players have another match to play yet. The key here is not to panic.
Ok cookie cheers hope Jesus doesn’t rise
