Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19
Oh yeah, with FPL back that also means ‘Bore off’ returns. I have went back to that old well and gathered the 3 amigos up for you to get their thoughts on some of the questions that we all want answered as the season draws closer.
For those that don’t know them or don’t know them well, let me introduce you to them.
Init is one of our site owners, he enjoys being a disciplinarian, hates typos and those with a lack of attention to detail. He also would prefer to not take walks on the beach and is not fond of puppies. Other than that, he is a great guy.
Cookie is also a site owner. He lives in Monaco, enjoys laying on the beach and taking pictures while he drinks his wine. He doesn’t like to hear about the details and enjoys typos.
Kop also a site owner and overall grouch, might be last on this list, but he is certainly not least, in particular in the grumpy category. If you ever need a pick me up, look somewhere else!!

It’s been a busy summer already with Arsenal, Everton, West Ham and Chelsea appointing new managers, Manchester City adding to their already dominant squad, Man Utd continuing to splash the cash and Liverpool trying to protect Karius by beefing up their midfield. Spurs may even have a new home soon.
And FPL wise, this is the place to discuss strategy, learn about the promoted teams and their players while in the days and weeks to come we’ll have plenty of articles, interviews, player analysis, Bore Offs, Tips, etc, etc.
So be sure to get involved in the discussions, the RMTs and the banter as we look forward to another season of Fantasy fun!

Our Regulars League* for 2018/19 is now open and has a cash prize pool of £300 paid directly to the winners from the FF247 management team. The first 5 places are paid out in a tiered system.
To enter this one you need to be an active and recognised site member and you need to e-mail us for the league code – elleffcee@gmail.com
*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

Init, what would the Fulham article entail? I could possibly write a couple small paragrahs on us but quantitative content wise I’m not very good on.
Wait till you sign some players surely at least the ones that were out on loan
If he was after stuff on new signings I’ll probably be less clued up than the usual writers!
We just cover the promoted teams in terms of FPL prospects. As I say it’s no issue, we can cover it with a bit of research, just always preferable if it’s coming from someone who’s actually seen them play!

Took some time to come up with a first draft. Team looks fairly balanced without Salah but not sure I want to leave him out.
As nice and balanced as that team is, I’d rip it all up and start again as Salah is essential imo
Benches may look more pretty but they don’t get the points Salah does
Smash true that, but last season my bench was really bad and it affected me in the start of the season, so tryna have a decent bench this time too .Maybe just have to add Salah without any questions asked

@Kunal, is not like your bench is that expensive. You could consider Patricio to a 4.0 guy since you will probably start Ederson every game anyway. Tomkins is 4.5 and Connally is 4.0 all you could downgrade there is Gray and that won’t get you the money for Salah. You would have to drop a big name somewhere and upgrade a different big name to Salah to get there. Really hard to make a decision on Salah. I don’t know maybe put the 3-4 names you will have if you don’t have him and the 3-4 that would come in if you did and just compare them against each other. Possibly even look at the fixtures and give them likely points for those fixtures and see what you like better.

My defence has changed again, still has five names though…currently sitting with PVA, Coleman, Mendy, Douglas and Robertson – almost certainly it will change again – currently have no Chelsea but am hoping Schmeichel signs for them and then he’s in for 5mln!
Is that the Wolves full back, Douglas? Seem to be very attacking from what I have read.
Most assists in the championship last season. Think it was 14 assists and 5 goals. On a lot of free kicks and corners

Personally i would’ve thought a cheeky bid for Schmeichel or Courtois would’ve been worth a go. Proven in the PL & saves a few £ for something else
Courtois has been angling for this Madrid move for a long time now. His kids live there. You might have a point about Schmeichel
