Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2020-21
International break time always means a Bore Off.
I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues and have asked them to answer some questions for us to the best of their ability.
I also asked for site members to provide any questions they wanted answering and many obliged, one in particular had quite a few!
Some really great stuff was asked and hopefully this edition of Bore Off can provide you with some good answers to said questions. I want to send a special thanks to all who jumped in at a moments notice to either ask a question or take part in answering them.

Thank you thank you thank you boys! Your comments have largely persuaded me into designing and sculpting my new look ‘Numbats’ (‘Numbat City’), using your helpful advice, as well as opinions gleaned from the site members. Happy to announce the imminent birth of the ‘New Numbats’, who will shoot up from their lowly-placed 3.7m spot (you can break ’em down, but you can never get rid of ’em!!!), or at least I can hopefully dream of this for the next 2 weeks. Coincides wi’ ma’ WC in FFS too, which saw me on a much improved rank.
But this is not about me, it’s about you guys and your helpful, and often down to earth wisdom.
Good on you for taking the time to formulate these answers and advice!
May the sun shine on your heads and the points sprout from your teams for evermore!

It’s not as shiny as I would have liked, as I had to make compromises to make everything fit. As usual! And as usual, the more you play with it, the more value it loses! I’ll do a screenie and send through tomorrow! Thanks again for the inspiration guys!

Hey Innit,
Here are the 2 versions of my team – old and new. I dearly wanted to keep TAA, but had to ‘downgrade’ to Robbo to find the money to have Watkins AND Grealish. Also stubbornly went for 2 X 4.5 keepers who are performing reasonably well rather than a combo with a 4m spud.
Looked for overall balance + performance potential, but I do regret not having Chillwell (have got Creswell instead. Well well!), and having to get rid of Kevin!!! Also a shame I couldn’t find the space for any Leeds boys. Maybe in the DEF? And maybe I need to find a spot for the slightly injured Lamptey???

Id put Ferguson in for Kilman since he would be starting in a couple of weeks unlike Kilman. Can save you a transfer later on.

It’s certainly well balanced. Similar ish in terms of spread of cash to how I ended up myself, that is to say one from each price bracket up top, two premium mids and two mid ones. Personally I think both Grealish and Watkins may be Villa overkill but of course that depends on whether that was a flash in the pan or not.

Thanks Innit – as per usual a WC is troubling for what you’re forced to leave out to maintain a good balance. I really wanted Watkins or someone like him, and then when I tried to get in Grealish, his team-mate was the only alternative in that price bracket who fitted. I don’t mind him though, and will be bringing in Antonio around GW 8 in his stead (if he’s not on a huge roll that is!) with the planned 2FT and a bit of manipulation! I don’t know how to get in Chillwell, but I guess you can’t always get what you want (thankyou Jagger and Richards!) can you? But if you try sometime, you just might find….
