Where have you been all of our lives Friday…

Yep, we’re back in action already and in theory it’s for a ‘mini DGW’, although we’ll probably judge whether it was worthy of the name after it as the way Man Utd have been playing we’ve seen people actually questioning whether to keep their players in for it never mind buy any more!

The aforementioned bookend our week as they kick us off on Saturday lunchtime and then see us out on Tuesday evening. In between that we have eight other games; three on Saturday at 3pm before Man City thrash Norwich in the evening, then three on Sunday at 2pm with Leicester and West Ham in the later one.

Chelsea and Arsenal sit this one out as the former are still away playing the World Cup or something.

  1. Bruno cappers gifted 16 pts. A foul is worth 16 pts nowadays in FPL. What a fluke goal.
    A joke this FPL season. And you have Salah not getting a clear penalty & Watkins denied a clear goal and now Bruno scoring after a foul & why also play 6 minutes added time is a joke.

    • You don’t own Bruno then ? smile

      • No and correctly not. Completely overrated player. Just gets these pure lucky pts. He has the miss of the season on an open goal- and then gets another gift running to an empty net basically when final whistle should have gone off.
        Also the red card was a complete joke- Dunk was not the last man there.
        Despite VAR, referees continue to make such blunders.
        Cant do well in FPL if refereeing is such low standard.

        • He’s overrated?! rofl He’s been one of the best and most consistent players in the league for about 3 years now.

        • apart from GW1 where he scored a hattrick he has 5 goals all season. Out of which 1 today in an empty net & 1 a gift by Martinez. so 3 proper goals from gw2 to 25. Thats as good as Antonio.

        • It’s like saying if you cut ManU’s games short by c. 5-7mins early they’d have scored half as many goals and even less points, thus left to fight off relegation smile

        • i’ve got to agree with inittowinit here. The addition of Ronaldo has had a massive impact on his points this season

        • Reg, I’m not picking on you or trolling at all, but I literally just watched that goal. It was only an open net because of his own brilliant dummy and he sat the keeper down…. If you think he’s overrated you must have some high standards!

      • Bruno isn’t overrated. He just got less effective with Ronaldo back. Ronaldo back hasn’t helped United one bit though. Dumb move

        • +1 also prob was unlucky not to get more than one goal

    • In previous weeks, I’ve suffered taking -4 only to have those players games called off, VAR ruling out good goals and my cappo getting a harsh red card so I don’t mind taking a late goal when it comes my way. It’s just FPL.

  4. Which option here (1FT, 0.5ITB)?
    1) Jota & Fernandes to Salah & Saka
    2) Jota & Ronaldo to Salah & Weghorst
    3) Robertson and Fernandes to Salah & Tierny

    • First option just about.

    • Painted yourself into a bit of a corner here with needing Salah, SF.

      I’d hold Jota and therefore option 3 I think I prefer.

      • Yeah option 3 for me too I think, but what a shame you couldn’t sneak in Salah, and keep the other 3 Liverpool boys! Haha what a scam that would be!
        Hey GP, after a flying start in Scottish league, I’m now dropping back a bit – didn’t take the risk of getting a -8 for Ferguson, and paid a heavy price! Plus I didn’t captain Tav this time – woulda saved my bacon, but I shall return, just like Celtic’s ‘exotic’ new signings (from the 4 corners of the globe, including ‘Chez nous’!). Hope you are fine!   5. Hey guys, hope y’all had a good Gw! Chuffed with that late Bruno goal really helped propelled my team to Gw rank of 100k. Playing fpl really messes up your club allegiance. Anyway did some early transfers for Salah, too much riding in the coming Gw to miss out on him due to price rise. 0FT 0itb, is it worth -4 to get in Edouard for Maupay if Weghorst is not fit? Or shall I leave it at that? Cheers

      If you bring in a striker with a DGW, who is coming out the first eleven? I like Cancelo and Bowen in there (unless you’re thinkng bench boost?)

      • Thanks GP, that’s a good question as i was thinking that if i do get a striker probably, Cancelo would make way although i do think we’ll get hammered by City so he could easily haul or at least with a CS.

    • I don’t think the -4 is worth it. You have enough DGW players imo.
