Where have you been all of our lives Friday…

Yep, we’re back in action already and in theory it’s for a ‘mini DGW’, although we’ll probably judge whether it was worthy of the name after it as the way Man Utd have been playing we’ve seen people actually questioning whether to keep their players in for it never mind buy any more!

The aforementioned bookend our week as they kick us off on Saturday lunchtime and then see us out on Tuesday evening. In between that we have eight other games; three on Saturday at 3pm before Man City thrash Norwich in the evening, then three on Sunday at 2pm with Leicester and West Ham in the later one.

Chelsea and Arsenal sit this one out as the former are still away playing the World Cup or something.

  1. Bruno to Son or Saka or do another trade? Have 1FT and 0.6M petty cash.

  2. Pogba to saka seems to be the best move for gw26 but makes gw27 a bit more difficult. Any suggestions?

    • FH for GW27? Although you do appear to have 10 players for GW 27 unless I’m mistaken? Just needs one or 2 little modifications.

      • 9 if i bring in saka, But that’s ok i guess, it’s 10 with next weeks ft.

        • I’m looking to play my free hit this week which removes the problem of GW27 for Arsenal players. Have only gone with Son from Spurs due to they play Man City and have a potential banana skin with Burnley plus their form is not great ATM. Below is my free hit team. Bench warmers will be Sanchez, Duffy, Williams and Maupay. I also would have £0.8m in the bank. Any good for next week?

        • You don’t need Maupay and Sanchez in a FH bench. Downgrading those gives you 3.5m to consider having better than Dennis or that defence

  3. These ‘chips’ have seriously got me confused! help

    I’ve got WC, FH*2, TC & BB.

    Aside from using my TC on Salah this GW, I’ve no idea when I’m going to use them. I’ll probably take a -4 for GW 27 which will allow me to have xi players…

    • -4 to field 11 players for 27 sounds good. And 1 FH to use in 30.

    • Just like your annual leave at work, Kop … they can’t make you take them!

    • Got all my chips too, and a wildcard. Need to start planning i guess…. But TC this gw….

    • I just fired away with the FH chip this week. Only had 6 DGW players and my only rival in my ml is about 20 points ahead, he has used all chips I still have all so I think I’m at an advantage.

      With the way this season is going though, you never know. Haha

    • Yep same with me. TC this week. I might FH in GW27. Sure I can get by but it’s a weak team. GW33 is alternative. Prob WC maybe GW28. FH big blank GW30 and BB in biggest double which is GW36

      • You don’t fancy saving the WC for 35 to absolutely maximise 36?

        • Nah feels too late to get the max out of the WC. Will go earlier and will know what teams will double

      • I’m tempted to use an FH on the really big double in 36 and just use my BB on another GW.

        • Yeah could work. GW36 could ha e most teams doubling anyway by the sounds of it

        • FH works best when big teams have a blank and/or the smaller teams have a double. If most good teams have a dgw which is what we expect in 36 then you’ll have a lot of those players anyway and FH won’t gain much

        • @Otieno I dunno man, it depends on the team and how you prep for a double gameweek I guess.

          For example, in a double gameweek you can field a full 11 DGW players from the best teams with doubles

          For a blank gameweek you can field an 11 with probably a single gameweek and generally the teams playing in the week are weaker teams

        • That’s my thinking McButcher, it allows me to cherry pick the best players from the best teams.

    • So, uhm. No concerns of Salah being rested either as part of each game or maybe as a non-starter in one of the games? wacko

  4. Looking at the last 8 matches played in (most recent 1st then going backwards in time), which 3 of the below would you have and which would you TC?
    A) 6, 6, 2, 10, 4, 2, 7, 11
    B) 7, 6, 11, 12, 9, 2, 8, 5
    C) 1, 16, 5, 3, 5, 2, 7, 1
    D) 1, 3, 7, 0, 2, 8, 8, 6
    B looks in the best form, then A and then C. I think you know who they all are, quite surprising stats.

    • That’s too much to work out man, who’s who?

    • Have you read the banks’ disclaimers?
      Along the lines of “Historic returns are not an indication of future returns and the presented materials should not be considered a recommendation”

      I feel like that applies here, or it’s an iq test. Either way I don’t know how to deal with it laugh

    • The quality of the opposition would also be required. If one of them has faced more top 6 than the other, or has faced the majority of relegation fodder, it’s not equal.

  5. With 0 ITB the only way to bring back Salah is to take a hit.
    He will replace Bruno. Who would be better replacement for CR7?
    Lacazette, who is on a double but not playing in 27 and will end up with 5 blankers or Jimenez, or someone else?

      Not done the math, but I think you might just be able to ?

      • Bigpopz, that sound very good but I’ve taken so many hits recently due to those postponements that looks scary. That said, make it or brake it could be the way to go yes

    • Not sure really, Ivan! I like the Jimenez idea. Broja’s a great long-term pick – his next six games are very winnable.

    • I guess Ronaldo to Broja and Gray to Salah will be just short?

  6. Klopp has suggested that Jota has picked up an ankle injury.

    • I was curious why he was subbed off at the half.
