Another DGW, oh the excitement! Well ok, this one involves Brighton, Brentford, Saints and Palace, but…
The cause for optimism is that the former pair combined for 7 goals last week. The latter two slightly less excitingly so, with just a solitary goal between them.
Despite the DGW this one is a pretty condensed schedule with the first ten games all on Saturday and Sunday, and the last two both on Wednesday. On to the action itself…
Will the real Liverpool please stand up… they did last week, Bournemouth will be hoping they don’t again, in the early game at 12.30pm. The reverse fixture was 9-0……….
The 3pm games all reek of desperation, mainly relegation, but also otherwise. Brentford and Brighton are the exceptions and they go to Everton and Leeds respectively. Leicester vs Chelsea and Spurs vs Forest both represent different challenges and problems for all involved.
Palace and Man City see Saturday out at 5.30pm, both with similarly diverse needs.
On Sunday we have three 2pm games as Fulham welcome Arsenal, Saints go to Man Utd and Villa travel to West Ham.
Newcastle and Wolves clash in the later game at 4.30pm.
A few days break then before our DGW’ers enter the fold again on Wednesday, both at 7.30pm, with Brighton v Palace and Saints v Brentford.
Don’t forget or get complacent though as GW28 then begins less than 2 days later with a Friday deadline.

Just wondering if we can safely predict that on current form, next time United and Bournemouth meet up it will perhaps be an 8-0 win for the Cherries???

Brentford and Brighton double up not looking great so far…
Why did Mitoma not get the assist?
Mitoma got an assist for the first goal. I’m not watching so I didn’t see the second one. Was he involved?
March was credited initially with the second goal, but it then got changed to a Harrison own goal. Mitoma has no chance of getting an assist for it now, but I thought maybe March might get the assist.
March never touched the ball.. and it ricocheted off 2 Leeds players.. so I think it’s fair. That said, I would have loved the second assist.
Mitoma crossed the ball low. It went form some Leeds defender to meslier save to Harrison who tried to clear but put it in his own net.
March tried to get to the ball but before he could touch it, Harrison own goal. Correctly og and no assist given.
