Wasn’t born in England so I don’t have the hatred or anything in my blood. Usually against money teams though. But hell, every team is a money team nowadays. I like Swansea but they will never win the championship. If I have to choose from the top it would be Arsenal, Liverpool and than United (in that order). Don’t hate. 😉
Anyway Dutch and I grew up with Ajax. When they play with enough Dutchies I support them (which they thankfully did again against Barca).
Ps. I think the hatred for United is much bigger in England than anywhere else. In our country we prefer teams like United/Arsenal/Pool over money teams like Chelsea/City. Most Dutchies are quite disgusted by those.

I’m in the same pickly and I’m considering to keep Lukaku. Lukaku to Rooney will cost ya +3m and that money can be used to buff up midfield/defense. Since I already have Kun/Suarez I’d be crazy to do that. Prefer a balanced team over 3 super strikers.

If you look at the figures H Lukaku is slightly better value than Rooney if you look at points scored per million (7.875 for Lukaku ,7.84 for Rooney) and he is the cheaper of the 2 of them so logically is the better option as Raz points out,if you have Suarez,Kun,Rooney upfront it leaves slightly slimmer pickings elsewhere!!!
Yep. Though you also need “peak players” who can get you a huge score if you cap’n them.
Ie if you had a perfectly balanced team, all averaging solidly, but no peak players who would you cap’n?
Look, don’t get me wrong, if my team value was £100m I’d not have him.
Or at least not him plus kun plus Suarez.
But my team is worth around 107m so I feel I can afford him.
I’ve had lukaku, and he did great for me, but I dropped him as soon as he stopped scoring me points.
Lots of ways of playing this game though. Not saying mine is the only or best way.
