Live Match Chat Game-week 2 FPL News
Our first Friday kick off of the season sees Zlatan’s home league debut as the Saints visit Old Trafford this evening. Saturday then sees seven matches – the lunchtime thriller sees that fundamental FPL question answered – can Kun and co do it on a sunny afternoon in Stoke? The 3pm matches see goal hungry, defensively challenged Liverpool go to Burnley, Spurs hosting Palace, champion busting Hull visiting Swansea, Watford welcoming Chelsea and Everton travelling to West Brom. The early evening match suggests goals rather than clean sheets as Leicester face Arsenal. Sunday sees the final two matches – first up is Sunderland vs Boro before West Ham and Bournemouth look for their first win of the season.

Well goodbye Stones CS
There’s gonna be quite a few 50/50-split captaincy calls over the coming weeks I feel…
One aid is that *the* duo rotate perferctly for home and away games, of course, given their clubs’ rivalry.
So many penalties so far since the season started.. That must be like the 8th or something
Rules changed, ffs, if only Baines was still on them.
I’d have 5 penalty takers.
On that note, Daniels still on Penalty kicks for Bo?
Ooh Cazorla even more interesting now.
I think it’s Wilson now he’s back
Yeah, noticed that Smash, he will take em for sure. Even though, Daniels did not miss any, did he?
Wasn’t Barkley on penalty kicks for Everton? Freaking A!
Daniels missed his last one from memory. I have no idea who will be on them for Everton. Should be Baines but as a guess bet it’s Lukaku
Aaah you are right, it was a free kick that got Barkley the goal. One Baines would’ve taken a few years back.
Baines is off of corners and freekicks and probably penalty kicks. His value actually is 5.5m or lower now. Rather have doubled on United defense.
Baines is still good from open play. He had one really good cross in the last match which probably would have been put away if Lukaku was playing! But yeah, it is really disappointing to see he’s not back on set pieces and pens. Honestly he’s one of the best set piece takers around – its as much of a shame for him as it is for us!!
Having both shaw and Valencia does look tempting now though if Everton don’t fix the defensive problems…
Firminho starting, Moreno finally on the bench. 😉
Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Sturridge
Heaton, Ward, Mee, Keane, Lowton, Boyd, Marney, Defour, Arfield, Gray, Vokes
Foster; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Evans; Gardner, Yacob, Fletcher, Phillips; Berahino, Rondon
Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Kante; Pedro, Oscar, Matic, Hazard; Diego Costa.
Hennessey; Ward, Dann (c), Delaney, Souare; Puncheon, Ledley; Townsend, Lee, Zaha; Wickham.
Gomes (GK); Cathcart, Prödl, Britos; Amrabat, Behrami, Capoue, Guedioura, Holebas; Deeney (c), Ighalo.
I see Janssen starts for Spurs. Wow, glad Lamela stil in there.
Stefen Defour already starting, nice. Good for Gray owners.
Delle Ali benched. OUCH!
I’m just happy it’s not Lamela.
Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Wanyama, Lamela, Eriksen; Janssen, Kane
Fabianski, Amat, Kingsley, Naughton, Fernandez, Fer, Cork, Barrow, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Llorente.
Stekelenberg, Baines, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Holgate, McCarthy, Barry, Gueue, Barkley, Mirallas, Deulofeu
Hull unchanged from last week
Wow, where’s Lukaku!?!?! What a terrible decision it was to start with him
Cheers TJ!! No William, so hopefully Hazard on all set pieces
I am not surprised by Alli on the bench TBH. He played really selfish last weekend and gave the ball away on the dribble in their defensive half at least twice. Plus, Jansen looked really good when he came on against Everton so he deserves the start IMO.
Guys I need to change Mkhi I think.Need to make sure he starts all games and it ain’t happening at the moment. 2 points in two weeks isn’t good enough. I’m thinking maybe Firmino or Pogba. What’s the thinking out there on this?
Pogba looks a good investment at 8.5!
Cheers Pancho. Do u think he’ll get enough points though.
He looked great yesterday. Got forward a lot and with Ibra up front I’d say he should get plenty of points.
