Think previously Pulis was getting to know his best back four which I think now he realises will probably involve Ward, Gabbidon, Parr and one other. Scott Dann to come in now which muddies there waters further.

Ouch, that is painful. I wonder how many people, like me, also benched Mannone thinking he wouldn’t do as well as their other keeper? I was pretty much certain before the weekend when I thought Szczesny would do better!
I did exactly that. Benched Mannone for Krul who hauled in a whopping 1 point!

So… was confused as to which City striker was guaranteed to start versus Norwich before tonight’s game, and am not really any the wiser! What are people thinking – Dzeko because he played 90 mins?
I think he’ll start his 2 favourites, Negredo and Dzecko
Hmm, hope you’re right. Im inclined more to Dzeko – he let me down at the start of the season but he’s been getting in amongst the goals of late. Didn’t see the match today but heard Negredo looked sluggish?

He was taken off. He’s still their number 2 striker though. End of the day Chelsea played well
Pell admitted after the game that Negredo is still not 100% fit. And it showed. Jovetic had a strange game when he came on. Looked really lively and wanted to be direct and take players on but things just didn’t really run for him. Dzeko was ok, at best. City went direct quite a bit in the second half but Cahill and Terry were all over him. Difficult to ascertain anything really given how well Chelsea defended.
Ok so decided the best cert for City coverage comes in the form of Toure, so have just taken a hit to shop Aguero and Januzaj out for Benteke and Toure in. Risky but fingers crossed it gets me mahoosive points over next few weeks…
Well it’s only taken 24 GWs, but am finally in the top 100K for the first time…! Only 3 red arrows since my low point of 1.6 millionth at GW8. It’s the small victories

What where the bonus for Man City V Chelsea? I hear Hazard had an outstanding game although he didn’t get any bonus points.
Not the first time that’s happened to Hazard in recent weeks. The Chelsea defence plus YYT all got bpts this time round. That’s based on a rigid formula which has the merit of being transparent, even if it yields odd results.
Bpts were invented to reward performances by players who do well but aren’t necessarily among the CSs or goals/assists. But as things are now they usually end up rewarding players who’ve already bagged points. So why bother with them at all?

I’m planning on using Johnson against Hull then shipping him out before his horror 4 week run! Not sure what to do with Giroud, don’t rate him as a player but he picks up points just by being there.
