So next week I have everybody playing except Mata and Silva. However Mutch is injured (anybody know when he’s back?) and Gabbidon is out of favour. That means I have my goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 2 midfielders, and 3 strikers. Also, there could be a few injuries tonight and midweek. I’ve already used my first FT doing Kolarov >> Ivanovic (fully aware of his midweek fixture), not I’ve got a FT and 1.3 in the bank. If I sell Silva this week I would have no man city coverage for the DGWs, I know Aguero is coming back though (but who should I sacrifise out of Giroud, Adebayor, and Suarez?!). Gabbidon >> Collins would get me some West Ham defence and XI players next week. What do you honk my prioritys should be?

      NIN says:

Veer – I wouldn’t make any more transfers until after tomorrows cup replay,Hull and West Ham could be out of GW29 too, plus the Champions League so seeing as you’ve already made a move then i’d actually hold off altogether. Heading into GW30 with no City coverage could be disastrous Veer so be sure to hold onto or acquire as many as possible.

      • Veer says:

Do you think I should hold on to Silva, or sell him and buy Aguero late? Who should I sacrifice from my strikers though?

        • NIN says:

Veer – Different managers will have different plans, i’m holding Kolarov and Yaya so i’m in good shape for the DGW’s, so yeah, i’d hold Silva and work around him. Definitely Giroud >> Aguero before any of the others.

        • Veer says:

Thanks for your help NIN. I sold Kolarov for his rotation risk. I’m naturally hesitant about selling Giroud since I’m an arsenal fan and he scored 16 points yesterday. Maybe after GW 29 if Giroud isn’t doing well I can sell him. For this week should I do Gabbidon >> Collins?

        • Veer says:

Oh yes, Collins GW 29 may be a blank. I’ll just wait on it then!

        • NIN says:

Veer – Giroud had a good week, there’s no denying that, it’s the first time in 15 GW’s that he scored 10+ though so i’d sell him in a heartbeat, especially for Aguero.

          Morning Chaps.
Veer, I’m with Nin, dont do anything till after tomorrow night. If Brighton get through (fingers crossed) it will put a different complexion on gw29!

        • NIN says:

Morning Bash, yep, Brighton will have an extra 1.5m fans on Monday haha, or there about’s anyway.

        • Raziel says:

Brighton lost to Wigan yesterday? While Hull trashed Cardiff in an away match? Miracles?

        • Raziel says:

Jelavic doing so well at Hull just shows what hard it is for striker to succeed at Everton. The Everton curse.

        • Veer says:

I will very unhappy if Brighton win. I thought it was very safe to assume hull would go through, so instead of transferring in Adian and getting some valuable West ham defence, I got Ruddy, and him + Szczesny cost £11 million. At least they rotate well though. What’s your overall rank now b-bash?

        • Raziel says:

Veer? You want everybody to suffer because you made a mistake?

Go cool off in the shame corner. >.<

    DO OR DIE MOFO’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need something great from Suarez (C), Sturridge, Sterling and Vlaar. On 16 points, lowest ever. Last week I was on 52 points with 4 played, now I’m on 16 with just 4 to play. HAHAHA!

Raz – It’s silly season my friend, Suarez will save you!!

      • Raziel says:

Yarrrrrrrrrrrrr. Keeping my Pool coverage (even Sterling). Also can’t get rid of the United coverage (they play in GW29 plus have a DGW in GW31, planning ahead). Hellish weeks. If Brighton don’t win Monday I’m doomed, I’ll have 6 starting players in GW29. >.<

Taking a punt on United/City as they have double GW's (however, they are facing each other, hoping for a goals galore). Planning to have Suarez/Kun/RvP/Mata/Silva in GW 31. 😉

Long post alert!! (UFPL help needed!)

    Morning all,
Hope you had decent starts to the gameweek. I see I’m not alone in wanting SAS (and Ade) to keep their scoring runs going today.
Decent start for me – 37 points with the front 3 still to play. (Finally took the plunge and made Sturridge captain = Big week for goofy probably)

Loving the start of UFPL. 84 points yesterday and some questions for you experts ahead of todays transfer deadline…

Quesion 1. Which (if any) of my bench would you bring in for my low scoring performers of:
    Hazard (4)
    Lallana (1)
    JRod (2)

Question 2. Would you stick or twist on Silva (5) or Long (7)?

Question 3. My captain RVP got 8 points. Would you take the armband off him and give it to one of my subs playing today?

    Bench:
    Walker
    Olsson
    Bacuna
    Sterling
    Ade
    Sturridge

    I’m thinking:
Walker, Sterling and Sturridge in for Hazard, Lallana and Jrod.
    Stick with Silva and Long
Give armband to Sturridge and hope he scores 8+.

All feedback appreciated guys and girls!

    Morning Chins!!!
I will answer the questions as much as im able but u might need one of the ‘pros’ to fill in the gaps/correct me accordingly!
Q1 As I understand it if u transfer a player out who scored 1 point it takes 1 point off ur score,so u sub a player with 4 points it means ur transferred in player starts on -4 so in other words start with Lallan, then Jrod and depending on who ur bringing in u might want to stick with Hazards 4 or gamble and twist?!?!?!?
Q2 Like previous it depends who ur bringing in but i’d certainly stick on 7 and maybe 5!!
Q3 For me its all about SAS I personally prefer Sturridge as he plays more centrally so ud assume he would get involved at some point with most team goals!?!??!?!
Good hunting and good luck mate!!! 😉

    • 124.1

Cheers Peaky. Hope you’re well mate.
My understanding is the same as yours re the rules, but i’m still getting my head around them to be honest with you.
I think that In order for the move to pay off I’m hoping that Walker, Sterling and Sturridge will score more than 7 points between them. Should be a safe(ish) bet i think.
      And if i twist on Q2 then…
… my remaining options to replace Silva would be Bacuna. Is 5 points+ realistic vs the toon?
…and my option to replace Long would be Ade. Is 7 points+ Away go norwich realistic?

On top of all that, i’m not 100% i’ve even understood the rules correctly so not sure if my logic is sound!
Haha. Damn First season learning curve! Not sure if i’ve got the brai space to take on Fantasy MLS as well!!

      • peakydave says:

I will be giving MLS a miss I think C&B this 25 man squad is hard enough to manage when u know who players are and are familiar with the days/times of fixtures!! 😉
