    Hi lads,

    Hope all of you are doing great! I somehow have 44 points w Kun (C), Friend (or Amat first sub :s), Stones so I’m not complaining!
    Anyway I’m thinking of hitting my WC and would like to hear your thoughts.

    Current squad:

    Courtois Jaku
    Valencia Stones Friend Amat Love
    Hazard Firmino Lamela Townsend Hojberg
    Kun Ibra Gray

    I’m thinking of WC due to the weak defence, lack of Arsenal coverage and would like to remove Gray and Townsend ASAP! I’m looking at

    1. Courtois -> Cech
    2. Stones -> Williams
    3. Friend -> McAuley
    4. Love -> Collins
    5. Townsend -> Ozil
    6. Ibra -> Lukaku
    7. 5.4m left for a third striker

    Obviously I don’t want to go with 5.4m for a third striker so I just have 2 questions; should I WC, how do I free up funds for the third striker? Thanks a million in advance lads!

      I activated my wildcard last night. Now I’m not saying you should do it, that’s a personal feeling but I made a few of those moves you are proposing.

      Could you bring in Ozil for either Firmino or Lamela to save Ibrahimovic?? Even downgrading Townsend to Snodgrass or Ramirez as well.

      I can only see Stuani as value at that striker price.

    Morig people..50 points with Friend, foster and aguero still to play..Deulofeu didnt start and i am playing 5 MFs, so i believe Stones is going to replace him? just hope that Friend starts though

      Matt says:

      ‘Morig’ Constant? Haha you have your morning coffee yet smile

      That’s a brilliant score mate and if results and performances go your way you could be close to 70 by days end.

      • constantine says:

        Haha.Hey Matt, i guess Sanchez has given me enough reasons to not come to senses..patience paid last night..what you think of Deulofeu though? Good to go? how does Bolasie fancy you?

        • Matt says:

          Well done for sticking with Alexi he got pretty lucky yesterday especially with the goal but it pays back what he didn’t do in the other 2 games. I’m not sure about Del or Bolasie yet the only Everton attacking player I’ve looked at and considered is Barkley. I currently have Williams as my Everton cover but until Evertons attack gets more consistent I might hold off. I caught some of the highlights on MOTD and Del did nothing and Bolasie was much the same. Lukaku missed an open goal and they had to rely on an OG to score.

        • constantine says:

          cheers Matt..I was thinking of going WC post this GW..but, i’m going to hold for now. Deulo sure has to leave..Will look for a sure starter in that price range..

    So Chadli might be going to WBrom on loan I just read. That would be awesome at 6.4 he will be a great bargain, and he is very good. IDK why Poch doesn’t ever play him, not last season but the season before he scored like 11 goals and IDK how many assists..
    Unlike Townsend, Chadli will actually bring points and outscore Wbroms strikers probably, I hope this happens!

    Matt says:

    So with Schmeichel going for Hernia surgery on Monday and the recovery period for that being at least 4 weeks does that diminish Leicester CS potential a lot or should they be okay?

    Nosaj says:

    Hey guys, worth WC’ing this lot??? I have 1FT and 1.4mil itb and I am thinking of holding off on using the Wildcard and just transferring Mahrez -> Sanchez/Ozil. Thoughts???

      Silvers says:

      Nosaj no in my opinion you have 3 playing that need looking at Chambers , Mahrez & Townsend you could just address Cham & Mahrez either Ozil or Caz & just another def that plays the over all team is good keep an eye on Gray.

      nosaj

      If you can afford to do just Mahrez to Sanchez then I would. No other hugely concerning issues there. Chambers, Souare and Townsend can be fixed with free transfers in the weeks ahead

      Matt says:

      +2 on what the lads say here just need minor changes no need for the WC mate.

      Nosaj says:

      Okay cheers guys, I was thinking of not wildcarding. Sanchez does seem to be a no brainer, but getting Ozil instead of Sanchez allows me to have more flexibility in my team and allows me to get rid of Townsend easier if I need to next GW (possibly for Cazorla). I also don’t see Sanchez outscoring Ozil by that much for the rest of the season, so I think that Ozil is the better option

    Silvers says:

    Morning all seems lots of people pressing the WC button already what are people’s thoughts on this. Are the teams much different still having Kun & Ibra in side.

    What is interesting me is the new rule , holding ,pulling shirts in the box giving lots of pens out need more pen takers. Although having Mahrez doesn’t work haha.

    • 102.1
      Matt says:

      Morning Silvers. Some people had set their teams up for the early WC so that’s possibly why we are seeing more WC teams.

      As for that grappling rule I think it’s a good rule but would like to see more consistency to it. There were 2 incidents in the Pool and Spurs game yesterday where Matip should have got a penalty after being grabbed by Vertonghen and then Janseen should have gotten a penalty when Matip grabbed him. Even if the penalties are given its not a guarantee to have a penalty taker like yesterday is a great example as having Mahrez and Baines was actually a disappointment haha

      xaoc says:

      Baines for me neither. Although he got the assist. smile

      Thankfully I got rid of Mahrez prior to the GW. Still, I feel that Leicter will get lots of pennos again this year due to their style of play. Cazorla can be a good option, considering his price. Hazard, Kun and Zlatan are must at this point – all penalty takers. Is Milner nailed on pens for Liverpool?

      I’ve wildcarded because I have six issues in my team. Made sense for me.
