22 with Mannone, Eriksen, Suarez, Sturridge, and Lukaku to play. From what I can see, poor.

I wouldn’t be too sure about that just yet TJ, the current dream team is a list of players no-ones got, only Dzeko breaks the 10% ownership mark, I don’t think you’ll be far behind the average ATM

So GW 34 don’t want two have 5 players playing the pool v City game so who would you bring in for Sturridge ?

    Already got Suarez & Lukaku

I’m also looking at downgrading Studge this week, I’m thinking about going back to Adebayor or possibly Ricky Lambert. Having a good look at Ade tomorrow and waiting on J – Rods injury report before making a decision on that one though. Be freeing up some funds for an Aguero/Rooney transfer in the future.

Personally I’m looking at Aguero in for Sturridge.

But to answer your question, Giroud. Adebayor is next best, then Lambert.

So,to play devils advocate,is it time to get rid of Hazard ?? Is he still value for money ?? Waiting week after week for him to perform. If he was a striker, personally i would have got rid !! Which is what i’m thinking now…….discuss !!

      EBC says:

Probably not, he still has some very good fixtures.

The difficulty this year is that there are a lot of good striker options but not many in midfield other than Toure, Hazard & Lallana.

      • brookyboy says:

Last 8 games 2 goals 2 assists !! For an 11m midfielder ?? Hmmm Think we are all keeping him for reputation and what he may do not form.Yes he has good fixtures but as chelsea showed today he is not their main goal threat anymore.Playing devils advocate here trying to get a discussion going,i think there is better value now out there.Lallana being a prime example.

        • EBC says:

Suppose it depends what price you bought him at. If you got him cheap then he’s worth keeping but I wouldn’t (and I’m not) rushing to buy him.

At the moment I’m looking at Toure, Ramsey, Eriksen & A Johnson as my midfield alongside 3 premium strikers & 3 premium defenders.

Brooky, really glad you brought this up as I was thinking I was going mad myself as I’m considering selling him for Silva this week and then probably converting him to Lallana and seeing the season out without Hazard. I did it last year and the one before with Mata. It hurts when they post good scores but the money can be utilised elsewhere if you do it right I feel.

      • brookyboy says:

Innit, its been bugging me for a couple of weeks but i’ve been afraid to say anything for fear of being shot down. Its like its a taboo subject !! lol Take his hattrick away from the newcastle game and what do you have ? 2 goals and 2 assists in 11 games !! I think we are all waiting, week after week for him to explode and it doesn’t happen but are afraid to take him out in case he does and our rivals benefit !! I think its worth the risk now considering how much is invested in him and his return of late.

        • inittowinit says:

Brooky nobody will shoot you down for mad ideas mate, not me anyway. The one thing that’s bugged me this year is that my team has been too template and I’ve finally woken up to this and started to change it up a bit. I wish I’d stuck with Lambert as I felt I should have when I bought him but I’ve messed around playing the fixtures too much and going with common concensus but it’s become boring so I’m doing my own thing from now on, lesson learned.

        • TheDreamers says:

Init- good call on Puncheon, especially with Coleman on bench.
I was planning on getting rid of mata to fund Howard for DGW. Questionable now.

        • inittowinit says:

Brooky Coleman is a great point in case. We’ve got to have him and he should play etc etc but being totally clinical about it, Arsenal will score and he will be limited tomorrow I imagine. It was a late call but I put the less fashionable Chester in ahead of him simply because he had, on paper at least, a better chance of a clean sheet. Now I know he could confound this logic tomorrow, keeps a cleanie and scores but I’m happy with my 6 from Chester on the board. Point is I’ve learned a lesson from it and I can see too many occasions this season when I’ve been seduced by the ‘must have’ over cold logic. Hazard is out for me.

He’ll score a hat-trick now just you watch laugh

        • brookyboy says:

Innit,i agree about the template thing.I think we get blinded sometimes into thinking we should have a certain player in our team because of his past form, reputation or because everybody else has him and I too have gone with fixtures too many times over form.
After the double gameweek Hazard and Coleman are now on my hit list !! Unless they do something great over the next couple of weeks 😉

        • Did u know brookyboy that Hazard has never won the EPL player of the month award which kind of highlights his inconsistency!! smile

        • TheDreamers says:

Eriksen and Ramsey might come back into equation

        • brookyboy says:

Peaky i didn’t know that mate.As good a player as he is and no doubt he has the potential to do well given the fixtures but the last few chelsea games i’ve seen he doesn’t seem to be getting in goalscoring positions too often.Him being on the bench yesterday was the last straw really for me.
Dreamers i brought Eriksen in this week. There are quite a few mid priced midfielders who could offer similiar or better returns than Hazard, that are worth a punt on now to free up funds to strengthen elsewhere in my opinion.
