Welcome to Live Match Chat Game-week 5 FPL News:
We begin on Friday evening this week and it should be a cracker as Chelsea play host to a recently rampant Liverpool. We then have to wait until Saturday afternoon at 3pm for the next instalment of four games as Hull look to contain Arsenal, Leicester look to bounce back from the said teams rampancy as they host Burnley, Man City will look to extend their unbeaten run against Bournemouth, West Brom host West Ham and then Saturday is rounded off as Everton will be hoping for more North Eastern favours in the shape of Middlesbrough in the late game.

Sunday is where our GW5 concludes and there are four games to get our teeth into. Watford and Man United go early at 12pm, Palace host Stoke and Southampton play Swansea, both at 2.15pm before Spurs entertain Sunderland at 4.30pm to finish the game-week.

    • I’m actually tempted to play my WC just because of him! I really don’t need to but having that much tied up on him for another GW will bug me all week. No real’easy game’ in sight for the next 6 either apart from probably Hull in 7.

  3. So how much did everyone score today? Have Ibra (c) and 4 other players left, scored 33 till now

    • 61 with two to go so my WC team is paying decent dividends at the minute, top of cash league, top of the Guinea Bissau national league and green arrows incoming.

      Happy days.

      • Doesnt the highest scorer have 51 points?
        Atleast thats what written on my screen

        • I’d find that highly unlikely if I have 41 (with baps, on Fix app) but I didn’t have say Coleman, Sanchez, Payet, Chadli, Antonio etc etc. It’s not refreshed on my FPL page and hasn’t added baps yet. I’d expect the highest score to be in the 80’s at least. Don’t forget some sad people create a new team every week with the sole intention of competing for the highest score.

        • I’m sure that’ll all change when the game updates this evening mate, I wouldn’t mind seeing a 1 in my GW column for once though.

    • 41 with 5 left Snookie. Difficult afternoon watching some of the obvious ones come in but we can but pick 11 players! Stones was my only real gripe but then again he’s Catch22 because if he’d actually started they’d have probably conceded as a result smile

  4. Hi all, hope you’ve had a successful day. Highscoring day sort of eclipses captaining Iheanacho so not too great for me. Wildcard in this week. How would you shave £1.1m off this?

    • *Highscoring day for so many players, that should read

    • Mustafi > Walker or Morgan
      Lallana > Chadli
      Ibra > Kane (if he scores tomorrow)

      Not all of those, but things u can consider

    • I would downgrade Mustafi to a 4.5 defender like Johnny Evans or a Middlesborough defender
      Thats 1.5 haved off right there

        • they only have one CS tho, they do have great fixtures but that’s about it. 6mil is loads for a defender when there is so many better options for less IMO
          fixture over form
          or form over fixtures

        • After what I saw today and midweek city are going to tear the league apart! If I had a WC I would be building my team around Kun and KDB! Someone is going to get walloped for 6/7 in the next few weeks!!

        • Brooky – Cheers mate, I guess it’s easier to advise on players once you seen them live on the pitch. For 3 seasons in a row! Sli is the real deal and actually ideal for EPL. He’s no cheapo though, but that actually helps meaning that he’ll remain a nice differential for now.

    Current team below. Thinking Costa & Haz for Kun & Antonio. Any other suggestions? Not really happy with Ozil atm

    • Hi Benny, do you have 2 FT’s right now?

      • Yep, and 0.1 itb. Would take a 4pt hit if required, about 40 pts clear in my cash league. Any thoughts Init?

        • Your moves as you stated are both good and sensible. I think my overall goal here would be to get yourself in a position where you could afford a credible 3rd forward. It may mean Ozil leaves and someone like Snodgrass comes in to do it though. Depends how intent you are on playing a 3-5-2. If the ‘forward’ plan isn’t favourable to you then I’d seriously consider Ozil to another Liverpool midfielder, be that Firmino or Mane.
