Thoughts on Everton players? Can’t really afford Lukaku with Aguero and Ibra. Is an attacker a must have for coming two GWs?

No1, feels like you are chasing yesterday a little bit. I too think City were excellent yesterday but tripling up on their attackers is unlikely to pay off. You’d need them to realistically score three goals a game to have a good week (assuming they are all involved somehow). Slimani played well yesterday but they have very hot and cold fixtures and he comes at a hefty price. Capoue could work, personally waiting on today to make my mind up on him; could prove a great ‘enabler’.

AT – Sterling and KDB are the highest/joint highest scoring in the game to date too. I looked at Slimani but I dont like their fixtures (looked at Fuchs too). Capoue is an enabler but cant have them all

I know, I just can’t imagine triple attack of any team could work – not even Neymar, Suarez and Messi (although I may be wrong on that haha). Read a statistical analysis of doubling up in preseason, the conclusion being that it is highly unlikely to work (although I myself am going against the stats with this City team). It would take a lot to go against negative ‘double up’ statistics and triple up.

Thoughts on this team? Would you say Mane is the best midfielder to get for Pool? Obviously the most expensive but happy to get fork out for him if he gets the most points haha.

    Nothing in the bank.

      Nice team that AT.

Ibra playing for his place today? So much attacking talent this year. Is Walcott now a permanent fixture in the team? His gametime suggests he is but I’d still have that worry. I’d prpbably go Firmino over Mane but I think whichever you pick, needs to be stuck with for a bit. I can see Mane hurting the smaller teams more.

      • AT says:

Cheers Dreamers. yeah he is – although I might stand by him even if he blanks, depending on how interested he looks haha. Walcott could go either way. Really not sure but it certianly makes for a more balanced team. Wanted Bellerin so Firmino in could work.

Jaku nailed? Tricky to know really.

        • TheDreamers says:

Hard to know re Jaku – how often will you play him though?

Antonio over Walcott? Takes that uncertainty out of it

        • AT says:

Probably quite a bit (they rotate very well).

I could do that, but would prefer an Arsenal attacker (and surely Antonio can’t keep scoring headers!?). Also makes for an attractive transfer if Walcott is dropped..

Why is interest in Iheanacho rocketing? Is there any belief that he will partner Aguero?
