Welcome to Live Match Chat Game-week 5 FPL News:
We begin on Friday evening this week and it should be a cracker as Chelsea play host to a recently rampant Liverpool. We then have to wait until Saturday afternoon at 3pm for the next instalment of four games as Hull look to contain Arsenal, Leicester look to bounce back from the said teams rampancy as they host Burnley, Man City will look to extend their unbeaten run against Bournemouth, West Brom host West Ham and then Saturday is rounded off as Everton will be hoping for more North Eastern favours in the shape of Middlesbrough in the late game.
Sunday is where our GW5 concludes and there are four games to get our teeth into. Watford and Man United go early at 12pm, Palace host Stoke and Southampton play Swansea, both at 2.15pm before Spurs entertain Sunderland at 4.30pm to finish the game-week.

gunners
Liverpool have created more chances per game (14.4) this season than any other Premier League side.
Have you seen their fixtures?! They are good for about 3 months sold. Firmino is their best player and most likely to score so he and Agüero will be coming in for Fraudzard and Ibrahimovic
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
They look very good gunners.
I would disagree that Firmino is definitely their best player. That’s up for debate. They have some quality mids in Mane, Coutinho and Lallana. It’s going to be tough chasing the points around that team but I’d get one and stick. If that’s Firmino for you then good luck.
And you’re being harsh on Hazard I think. Nobody can score heavily in every game.
AT
Fourth highest scoring mid (currently) and just 6 points of first. Okay then gunners…
AT
off
gunners
He won’t be for much longer with those fixtures coming up. Can’t wait to get rid of him.
gunners
Cheers GP.
Yeah they are all good but personally prefer Firmino as he’s cheaper than Mané and more of a goalscorer.
No Hazard deserves it. He’s an expensive Chelsea player 😉
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Don’t let your club rivalry get in the way of FPL gunners!
Big Spurs man aren’t you? #initinvestigates
Silvers
Ok please RMT on WC 😉
Snookie Bear
Looks good mate but Capou and Deeney, doubling on Watford you sure?
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Silvers
I like it
Matt
Hey Silvers I like it mate the only one I’d be wary off is Zaha.
Silvers
Thanks all not settled yet 😉 Prices will dictate most choices
swampster
Hi all, planning for next week, team 1 for -4 or WC team 2?
swampster
Or other around
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Swampy
Who’s coming out for Aguero and Antonio in the -4 one?
swampster
Sanchez and lukaku
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Swampster
Maybe consider Gray and Sanchez. How much would be left for a replacement in midfield there?
swampster
Would only leave 4.9
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
Swampster
Your original -4 plan would be best if Gray doesn’t get his ban.
Matt
Swampster I like the WC team to be honest.
swampster
Cheers, Am leaning that way too

Hi all, thinking ahead to WC team. Which teams would you be looking at? Obviously the likes of Aguero and Ibra write themselves into the team irrespective of fixture.
After the Chelsea game Arsenal have cracking fixtures – worth getting Bellerin?
Minus City GW7, Spurs have good fixtures – defender and Lamela?
Watford have great fixtures, would you take anyone from them? (Deeney? Or Capoue!?)
Everton cover in Lukaku? If I were to get Aguero and Ibra it is unlikely that I’d have room for him. Especially if I go Deeney for Watford’s fixtures. Baines sufficient cover or would you want more?
Liverpool have pretty good fixtures. Best player to get? Lallana for funds, perhaps?
Minus Hull away GW7, Chelsea have ars, LEI, MUN (sou, EVE). Avoid or not? Feel like the only players are Costa and Hazard and they come at a big price.
Appreciate that most of you won’t be WCing so won’t be looking at GWs in quite so much depth, just really want a few ideas to bounce off.
Thanks in advance.

Aguero and Ibrahimovic with Deeney or Lukaku
Then a Liverpool mid, an Arsenal mid, Capoue (still brilliant value) and Snodgrass (looking further ahead than his next three).
I’d have an Arsenal, Everton and Watford defender too
Matt
I agree with GP for the most part only thing I’d maybe disagree with is a Watford defender not sure they will keep people out but if they keep United out tomorrow then I may change my tune.
AT
Matt, they do have very appealing fixtures though. 10 CS last season after coming up isn’t too bad (he also probably wouldn’t play very often with MNU/ARS/EVE defenders).
AT
Cheers GP,
I would want Lukaku but not sure I could get him with an Arsenal mid and defender and an Everton defender.
What do you think to WHU defesnive prospects?
WAT/WBA GK rotation is nice but Gomes is £5m which is a shame. Foster and Heaton don’t rotate that well for a few GWs but Heaton will make saves. Tricky.
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
AT
Having completely collapsed at home to Watford last weekend, I’m taking a wide steer of West Ham defence just now.
AT
Yeah, cheers GP. Still good enough fixtures to consider their attackers mind.
wolf pack
My dilemma: which pool mid to pick: couthino or firminho (or another one, not being Mane becsuse he is too expensive for me) ? Any advice/ thoughts ?
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
wolf
What is your gut feeling?
wolf pack
Gut feeling says Firminho; more stable performance over time than Couthino. Correct or not ?
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
wolf
Go with your gut – inevitably he won’t score points on days that Coutinho will but you just need to ignore that.
Can’t chase points from previous games so I think you should go Firmino and stick with him.
Smash10
Firminho seems to play the full 90 most weeks and will likely score more goals. Coutinho has looked better though I think but that don’t always equate to points
gramps
Morning boys and girls – current squad playing 3-5-2 2ft .8 itb any thoughts
Adrian/Pickford
Shaw/Williams/Macauley/Amat/Soure
Ozil/Cazorla/Barkley/Hazard/Redmond
Ibra/Costa/Diomande
1 Redmond-Capoue Ibra – Kun 2 downgrade any of the other mids to capoue and costa-kun to release funds to deal with defence and Diomande.
SAFs_hairdryer
Some Liverpool attacking cover would be a good idea. Cazorla to Firmino?
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
gramps
This is a good idea. I would go with this.
gramps
Thanks Gallant – 1 or 2??
The Gallant Pioneer (@mitchellcraig81)
gramps
Nah I meant SAF’s suggestion of Firmino for Cazorla.
gramps
cheers SAFs good idea Liverpool v Hull next
