Live Match Chat Game-week 6 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Game-week 6 FPL News: Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday as an under pressure United host reigning champions Leicester. 3pm on Saturday brings us six games with Bournemouth hosting an inform Everton side. Can Lukaku’s form continue? Liverpool play host to Hull. Can the reds find a way to beat a team they’re expected to sweep aside? Spurs travel up to Teeside to face Boro. How will they cope without Harry Kane? Stoke host West Brom in what is likely to be a snoozefest. There’s likely to be another snoozefest on Wearside as Sunderland host Palace. Our final 3pm game sees City travel to Wales for a game which will hopefully see a certain Argentine run riot. Saturday comes to a conclusion at 5:30pm when 4th place Arsenal host 5th place Chelsea in a London derby that is rarely dull.
Just the one game on Sunday afternoon as West Ham host Southampton. The Hammers are in disarray having lost three on the bounce conceding 11 goals in the process while Southampton will hope to build upon their victory over Swansea last weekend which was their first of the season.
Our game-week concludes on Monday night when Watford travel to Burnley. Watford have been the surprise team this season and Etienne Capoue has been the FPL gift which keeps on giving. This could very well be the first game in which many FPL managers actually play the Frenchman…you just know what’s going to happen!!

This is my line up for next week (really early I know, but I’m exceptionally impatient). Took another -8 to bring in Snodgrass, Monreal, and Antonio
I’d question the Antonio move, especially for a hit. West Ham look poor. Snodgrass could really pick up some decent points over the next few weeks.
I’m crossing my fingers!
You’ll have to cross your toes as well Admiral! :p
😯
Who have you taken out?
Barkley, Lamela, and Collins. Barkley will probably get something soon but he was irritating me. And Lamela looks to have lost his place to Son.
Hey all.
I think my team is in dire need of fixing and close to pulling the trigger on a WC. Attached is what I have to these are the moves made. 0 ITB after these transfers.
Courtois > Cech
Kone > Smith
Shaw > Walker
Baines > Williams
Friend > Amat
Firmino > Lallana
KDB > Sanchez
Gray > Rashford
Any thoughts guys and girls?
If Rashford can keep getting games then he should keep getting points. Looks good to me though :D!
For me I’m not sure the moves are worth a wild card
Cheers ABP & Smash. Two differing views. Smash, how come? I stop the loss of TV and bring in players who are scoring points most weeks for ones who aren’t. What is there not to like?
Niknak
Ask yourself this …. do you want to get rid of the eight you are getting rid of? If yes, then wildcard. If not, then just transfer out those you do. You may only want to change a couple but need the test to make it happen is what I’m thinking.
Thanks GP. I certainly need rid of Gray with the suspension, KDB & Baines after the injury news. That’s a -8 hit. The rest are nice to haves. Is it acceptable to take 8 point hits after taking a 4 point one this week?
Baines might be fit
Yeah Baines could be OK still.
You could stick a team together for this coming week by taking a hit and then activate your wildcard during the extended break for internationals which is coming up this giving you a lot more time to tune up your ideal squad via the wildcard.
Looking at Liverpool’s fixtures up to Boxing Day, and doubling up on midfielders could be a good idea.
True that. Could easily work with the amount of goals they are scoring
Hey guys, I hope everyone’s doing well. Is Walcott going to be a regular starter now for arsenal? With de bruyne possibly out for weeks, would Sanchez be the best replacement for him?
Always difficult with Walcott because he has the potential to tear defenders apart, but then he can just not turn up. And given Arsenal’s next 4 fixtures I’d strongly recommend getting Sanchez in.
In a word. Yes
Thanks guys.
All down to Burnley Watford then….. I need Holebas to play please. The rest can do one.
I need Capoue to do his usual. I know he’s owned by like 90% on here but not so much in my ML. Hell, they barely even own Kun between them….
Evening Cookie
I have Capoue and Pereyra to go. This is the first time I’ve trusted Capoue in my starting eleven.
Sorry people.
Pereyra is the new Capoue !
Hope so DMC :ok:
Evening fellas. Early thoughts so far but is Morgan and Townsend out to Holebas/any other watford defender and a 6.9 or less midfielder worth a -4 hit?? Townsend needs to go anyway.
Which mids are you looking at Matt? Watford have hardly been water tight thus far.
Well I was looking at Smith as well but I think Watford’s fixtures are better. The mids I was looking at are Snodgrass and Bolasie maybe even doubling up on Arsenal and bringing in Iwobi. Anyone I’m leaving out?
Matt, is there any way of affording La Llama? Not convinced on Bolaise. Iwobi looks good but there are so many mids battling for a start.
How about a punt on a Bournemouth mid? Chadli? Son?
Snoddy is a decent pick of course.
I brought Lallana in this week, Cookie and I also have King in midfield from Bournemouth. My current mid is Ozil, Townsend, Lallana, King and Capoue. I didn’t think of Son! I thought he was a striker. Just checked and I can’t afford him
Snoddy is your man then probably Matt, but not sure i’d hit for him.
Nice call on La Llama mate – I was recommending him to Elle, but don’t think he got him 😉
Cheers mate. Was also just looking at Fletcher or Hojberg to become my 5th mid while Capoue starts then use the extra 2 Mil to upgrade either Heaton or Jaku to Cech??
Yeah I think Lallana is an absolute bargain at 7.1 can’t believe Elle didn’t listen to you. He was unsure of everything this week hahah
Hojbjerg was good today and seems to be getting more gametime, would not be a bad cheap mid choice
