Welcome to Live Match Chat Game-week 8 FPL News: Here we go again!! We kick off GW8 with a proper match up as the two previous champions tangle when the Foxes visit Chelsea for a lunch time fixture. That is followed up by six more games. Arsenal welcome Swansea so they can fill their boots, The Cherries play Hull in a snoozer, City look to rebound vs Everton, while in other action we see a classic when Sunderland visits Stoke. West Brom look to stop the only undefeated team left when Spurs come marching in and we finish our Saturday fixtures with Palace happy to see the struggling Hammers in for a visit.
Sunday sees a rest day for us all. Honestly no one should bother with the Sunday schedule. Just take care of what needs to be done so you can sit and enjoy the Monday barnburner.
Klopp vs Mourinho, Coutinho vs Mata, Ibra vs Firmino, Rashford vs Mane, Pogba vs his price tag. All we know is that we will have our time reserved to not be bothered when Liverpool and United face off.

Quick question re. transfers guys – if I am choosing between player A at £8m and player B at £9m and I choose player B, if player B’s value later goes up to 9.5m and player A’s down to 7.5m, if I swap them, will I bank 2m ( current difference in their values) or 1.5 (difference between A’s current value and B’s value at the time that I bought him). I would’ve thought the former but doesn’t seem to be happening when I hypotethcially mess around with my team. Thanks!!
You receive half the gains and lose ALL the falls. I.e. you will receive 9.2m for player A and receive 7.5m for player B = losing 0.3 net
Bit confused by the wording of the question but I get what you mean. If A is 9 mil and goes up to 9.5 then the selling price is 9.2 because selling price only goes up by 0.1 when the player price goes up by 0.2. If that makes sense. Hopefully someone will be able to back me up on that or correct me!
you bank 1.7 because you will receive 9.2 from the sale of player B. 9.2 minus 7.5=1.7
Has anyone else got a problem with Costa’s sale price? I bought him in GW4 at 9.8 and he is now 10.1 soon to be 10.2 but my transfer page shows the sale price at 9.8. I have asked the question to FPL but they don’t answer. A few of you agreed the sale price should be 9.9.
Ah sorry, I misinterpreted your question. You will buy player B at 9m and will sell him at 9.2m (as you gain half of all rises, rounded down). When you buy player A, you buy him at whatever price he’s listed at which is 7.5m
Overall, due to this ‘foresight’, you net 0.7m as you gained player B’s rise plus you bought player B at 0.5m cheaper
