Live Match Chat Gameweek 11 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 FPL News: Our game-week starts at 3pm on Saturday afternoon. It’s like the good old days. Well it’s not really as there’s only 4 games at 3pm. First up is 3 points for Bournemouth as they welcome the hapless David Moyes and his bunch of not so merry men from Sunderland. Crystal Palace travel to face Tom Heaton Burnley. Having beaten Barcelona on Tuesday night City will be confident of taking 3 points as they host Middlesbrough. West Ham host an ever improving Stoke side. Let’s hope that Andy Carroll is ok following Wednesday’s incident when he was held at gunpoint. Rumour has it the incident was carried out by the same gang who stole Shergar! Saturday concludes at 5:30pm when Everton travel to face a Chelsea side who have won 4 on the bounce.
Sunday kicks off at midday with the North London derby as Spurs make the short trip to the Emirates. Expect a feisty encounter as Spurs will be keen not to lose further ground to their nearest & dearest. Sunday also sees Hull host Southampton, free scoring Liverpool host Watford, United travel to Wales to face Swansea, while our game-week concludes as Leicester host West Brom.

Thinking about ironing out my double down weakness with de ghea and blind. Should I get courtois as a goalie? Or will I have an over reliance on Chelsea?
Or should I scrape the barrel for funds and replace Cahill with blind and keep de ghea?
Waxys
If you can do a straight swap from de Gea to Courtois, I advise you do it. Towards the start of the next Gameweek of course, not right now.
Yes I can and I think I’ll do it their the same price after all.
Hey gang, not rushing into any transfers but wanted to get a few thoughts on early plans.
Thinking Ibra and Capoue > Austin and Haz but open to ideas.
2 FT, 2.0 itb
DDG, Jaku
Mustafi, Stones, Williams, Friend, Amat
Wally, Coutinho, Allen, Gundogan, Capoue
Kun, Ibra, Benteke
Sounds like a logical way to get some Chelsea cover in to me.
Colriles,
Yeah I like the sounds of that.
Cheers fellas. Now just wish me luck that our joke of a country doesn’t set itself back 300 years tonight… #usa #eyesclosed
Seems like it’ll be a backwards step either way! Although agreed one is more of a backwards leap… If it’s any consolation we’re pretty screwed in the UK too.
It will be all right I am sure.
And as a French representative, I join the chore of scewed nations: we have elections in six months and the far right can very well make it…
And your proposed moved sound excellent!
if no injury occurs in the IB, your team will look great.
Devil and the deep blue sea, Colriles.
Right. Should have clarified, not a huge fan of either but….. Thanks for the international support – we stand together in sub-mediocrity!!
I’m right here with you Colriles! #AreTheseOurOnlyTwoRealChoices???
absolutely yes.
but after international break
Is anyone else thinking that bringing Kane in over the next few weeks could pay off big time?
On that premise, which of these options would people prefer:
1) Kane & Lukaku + 5.0 on a defender
2) Kane & Costa + 4.5 on a defender
The third striker is obviously Aguero. And I’ve already got Hazard too.
Thanks.
banjo
It could very well pay off to get Kane in. He seems to be forgotten about a bit even though he is now back and scored that penalty. I have Lukaku and I can’t really understand the will of some to now sell him. Everton collectively were poor and by all accounts got it tactically wrong in the Chelsea game so he can be forgiven for blanking there and these “difficult” fixtures he has ahead can be offset by reminding yourself that he scored at the Etihad three/four weeks ago. The fixtures may not really matter as long as Koeman learns the lessons of the Chelsea match.
So option1 I like. Furthermore as you have Hazard you probably can do without Costa (not that double Chelsea isn’t a bad idea) but for me you have the main man for them.
The defenders at 5.0M are plentiful so it depends who you already have I guess.
Cheers GP. Here’s the current team, with 1.8 ITB.
I’m thinking the next 3 transfers will be Baines, Lallana & Costa/Lukaku to 4.5/5.0 defender, Coutinho & Kane.
Sound like a logical plan to you?
If I go the route of keeping Lukaku it certainly gives me more defensive options. I’d probably lean towards Stones.
It does sound good to me so let’s hope you can manage to get them done and no other issues crop up in the meantime.
I have Stones and I think I would take him at that price despite the lack of CS. Apparently he was playing well and on for BPs until Middlesbrough scored very late.
When I see your team above though, that already is one almighty fine front line!
Yea I’m fairly confident Stones / City defense will come good soon, and at 5.0 he’s a bargain.
My main concern is the lack of Coutinho / Firmino / Mane. It seems that at least one of those is mandatory. Lallana seems to be chipping in with regular points, but over the course of the season I don’t think it’s good enough to rely on him for Liverpool cover.
If Coutinho (or Firmino) rise any more then I’ll need to take a 4 point hit on Lallana to either of them, in order to be able to afford Kane & Stones.
Yep, Kane seems to be an under the radar go to choice. He’s top 5 for PPM, which says a lot if we add that he played everton, liverpool and arsenal on his 6 games to date, and is owned only by 5%.
If he performes well in England’s games I might just buy the lad. He looked sharp against Arsenal on the few ocasions the ball actually got to him.
I am personnally under the spell of Costa, who have been delivering week after week.
I am always cautious with Lukaku (i plan to sell him after GW12), and have much less faith in Everton than Chelsea.
I would therefore go for 2. Even to the price of a suboptimal defender.
Thanks Vinci. Everything you say makes perfect sense. Lukaku can be so frustrating, and I’m confident Costa will outscore him. It’s just whether that margin will be greater than the difference between a 4.5 & 5.0 defender.
i will go to option 2 as cleansheet are so hard nowadays.
Just saw this on twitter:
If true that’ll make me feel much better about ditching him last night for Hazard 😉
Banjo – I suspect you won’t be alone
50100 at the time of writing will ensure you’re not alone.
Solves the Hazard conundrum after spending hours working out how to get him in…….. let’s hope he doesn’t get injured now……shows why early transfers are so risky….
I’ve done my 2 FT already, I’m screwed if any of my players get injured!!
This screws plans up for me looks like str swap Sanchez to Haz oh well
* Alexis Sanchez *
The reports are saying he will remain under the supervision of Chile and will undergo treatment and they hope he will play the second game of their double header against Uruguay.
Cheers GP not hit the button yet 😉
Steady as you go, Silvers
What do you mean by double header? They play Colombia and then Uruguay.
DMC
Yeah they play two matches:
10-Nov Colombia v Chile
15-Nov Chile v Uruguay
Nevermind, I read that wrongly. Thought you were saying they had a double header with Uruguay.
The mad rush to buy Hazard while you can has started properly with that Sanchez news
I’ll have to debate over De Bruyne or doubling up over Pool mids, I’m pretty glad that I’ll have two weeks to chew the fat with that one.
True, it’s nice to have the cash in hand as well as the time to mull it over
Currently on Sanchez, Hazard, KDB and Mane myself.
Does anybody know what happened to NIN? Haven’t saw him on the site for a long long time!
