Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 13 FPL News: If you scored big in GW12 or for that matter simply respectable, you are either a psychic or somehow life led you down a path where you turned to into a Victor Anichebe owner. Think we will take the low score and a clean conscience, but that’s just us and no one said we were not spiteful. Anyway, Burnley gets their tokus handed to them by City to start the game-week. That is followed by four 3pm games. Hull take on the aliens who stole Liverpool’s attacking talents in West Brom. We also see the champs host Boro, the Swans tangle with Palace in the EPL’s version of Sunday league football and poor man’s West Brom, Liverpool host the suddenly alive Black Cats who by the way have used more than their allotted 9 lives to survive relegation over the last couple of seasons. Saturday is closed by the best fixture on paper when first place Chelsea tangles with Spurs. Expect Tottenham to try and keep the status quo as they have already reached their end of season goal. Behind Arsenal and back in the Europa zone right where they belong.
Sunday brings us 4 fixtures. Watford has an easy one as they get the Allen-less Stoke side in the opening game of the day. Arsenal get back to their scoring ways against The Cherries and that is followed up by the last 2 fixtures. United look to gain ground on the top teams when they face West Ham and Southampton sorta welcomes back their former manager when Everton pay a trip to the St. Mary’s stadium.

    Pancho says:

After my 6 bonus I will be on 30 with 4 to play (Capoue, Lukaku, Austin, and Captain Sanchez). Still hope but I’m not holding my breath. Hoping for a Swansea-Palace-esque match between Soton and Everton!

    Horse says:

So the top point scorers by game week so far this season are follows:

    1 Coutinho
    2 Stuani
    3 Sanchez
    4 Son
    5 Chadli
    6 Lallana
    7 Koscielny
    8 Stanislas
    9 Shaqiri
    10 Gundogan
    11 Hazard
    12 Ake
    13 Fer

Has anyone had any of them in your team in time to catch the hauls?

I still have Deeney. how do I still have deeney ?

Upto 63k from 98k! Probably will end up on red arrows after tomorrow’s games!!

    RedVT says:

Hey guys, how’s it going? I was wondering if Coutinho owners are going to hang onto him and await scan results or jump on the Siggy/Pedro wagon now and ride the price rises to glory. Also, who do you think is more essential for the next stretch of matches, Costa or Kane? I’m terrified Costa will get his 5th yellow if I dare bring him in, but I’ve been saying that for weeks (or is it months?!) now, lol.

I have 2FT and I’m thinking about Coutinho and Lukaku out for Siggy/Pedro and Costa/Kane.

      Neo says:

I would personally wait out the news on Coutinho but if you have Firmino as cover,

I think you can consider Pedro/Kane! I personally brought Kane for LKK in for 13 and got rewarded with an assist – understand how the 4YCs are an eyesore but we’ve been punished for weeks already!

      • RedVT says:

Thanks Neo. Tottenham looked great for the first 15 minutes today, but after Chelsea got into the match there wasn’t much Kane et al could do. Costa was literally everywhere, making plays and hustling until the final minute. Hard to look past him for me, even for Kane, but with the sweet run of games coming up Kane could do well, a good captain option too.

PS- love your grav, man. I have a serious man-crush on Klopp! His personality and enthusiasm is infectious.

        • Neo says:

Cheers Red. Yes Costa looked so good today, if only he clears his 4th YC eh ;P

Klopp was probably the MOTM for Liverpool today! Rallied the crowd after they jeered a bad pass at 0-0 and Liverpool never looked back

      inittowinit says:

Kane without a doubt Red. And looking at that Coutinho injury I’d be surprised to see him before Feb or March even if there’s no break. He may well be back sooner if there is one rather than if there isn’t, from my own experience of serious ankle injuries!

      • RedVT says:

Right on, thanks init. Do you like Siggy or Pedro for a 7.2 replacement? And what is it that puts Kane over Costa for you? Is it the yellow card situation? Fixtures? Penalties? I don’t have any Chelsea cover right now so I’m kind of leaning Costa ATM, but Kane’s fixtures look really tasty.

        • inittowinit says:

I like Siggy. I’ve always liked Siggy. I have no idea why I don’t already own Siggy. Putting the band back together here – McAuley, Siggy and… Walters. Ok so maybe we need a new drummer but you get the picture smile

Kane is purely on fixtures, so much so I had him pencilled in for Kun this next week. I may amend that now though but the sentiment stands in terms of what you were asking.

        • RedVT says:

Haha, I remember that Walters call from a couple seasons ago Init! You brought him in out of the blue and he grabbed a brace for you if memory serves! That was a great call. laugh

Yeah, Kane’s fixtures look awesome, and he’s only on 7% ownership right now. I was actually thinking about ditching Aguero for him for the next gw like you, but the Coutinho injury means I can get rid of Lukaku instead and keep Aguero. I guess I can always drop Sanchez for Hazard or Aguero for Costa before gw15 and get Kane in this week for his better fixtures. Thanks man, much appreciated.

        • inittowinit says:

It was a full hat-trick he got, probably my most memorable site moment ever but not because he did, more because of the convo the night before when the travelling hippy guy (where’s he gone?!) called me out on it! And was probably right to do so. It was just a punt but it was just so funny the way it panned out!

        • RedVT says:

Yeah, that was one of the best transfers I can remember seeing. Nothing better than when a punty move pays off, and that was a jackpot!! laugh

        • TheDreamers says:

curious – who was the travelling hippy guy?

        • inittowinit says:

I can’t remember his full name on here, it was quite unique though.

        • Init,

          The Eastbound Travelling Hippo.

I’ve a memory for such trivial things.

    Neo says:

    Gundogan Walcott Firmino Coutinho Hazard
    Costa Aguero Diomande

    Would you guys go for:
    A. Coutinho/Diomande -> Redmond/Defoe
    B. Coutinho/Diomande -> 7.1m MF/Austin

    • 48.1
      Neo says:

Thinking of reverting back to a 3-4-3 as Gundo is killing me

    • 48.2
      RedVT says:

That’s a tough one Neo but I think I’d go with Austin over Defoe as he plays in a better team and Southampton have a fairly nice run coming up. Any chance you can squeak another .1 someplace? I’d be much happier with Pedro or Siggy for 7.2 than anyone else in that price range if you can get them before they rise.

      • Neo says:

This is my full team. I am already taking a -4 if I make 2 transfers. Was thinking of doing a -8 for Williams/Coutinho/Diomande to Cedric/Siggy/Austin but a -8 seems too much. Any thoughts? I have so many problems to settle sad

        • RedVT says:

If you’re already willing to take a -4 Neo, how about sticking with the 3-5-2 formation and shipping out Coutinho and Gundogan? That should give you some more money to play with and better midfield options than the 7.1 you’re considering now.

        • inittowinit says:

Wait and see what the Firmino craic is, that could alter things entirely. Could mean a -12 for example smile

        • Neo says:

Great call Red, I could go Siggy and Pedro with a -4 😉

          @Init, I doubt Firmino’s injury is anything more than a knock… right..? 😛
