Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Do yourself a big favour though and slap yourself in the face and ask why you do. Enjoy GW14 with us on Live Match Chat. Ask anything you want, post anything you want, just be sure to filter the answers with a wry smile

What scores are you guys sitting on? I am on 42 points with cappo Sanchez and Firminho left to play.
Currently on 26 with Mane (c) and Firmino
Should have gone with Erik there Matt
haha wasn’t for me. Recommended him for someone else. I’d say they are wishing they listened to me now
On 18 with Sanchez (c), Cech and Firmino left
47 -8 with 12 baps to come off 4 players. About time too as the last 2 weeks have been below 40 with hits off that core.
Brunt,Haz Costa and Kane (C) are the guys who have done the biz so far.
Sanchez & Cech tonight and then 3 Liverpool lads tomorrow with Williams (ev) to come on for Matic .Last man standing will be Smith (Bou) who will hopefully play in midfield.
49 as of now Raz. Sanchez and Mustafagoal going now. Firmino tomorrow
That is a brilliant score. Well done
Good scoring twenty. ??
Mustafanassist
39 with Mane Smith and Walcott to play
Happy considering I capped Hazard. And I have no GK. Hope Jaku starts out of nowhere
😉
Hazard did well.
Any early transfer for you?
Already bought Kane for Kun
You recommend Heaton to Courtois for a hit. This is my second week running without a goalie
It was a question. Do you recommend Courtois for Heaton fo a hit?
Heaton will be back though? I am considering taking a hit and reshaping my team.
61 with Sanchez to come, a real improvement over recent weeks thank god!
Nice score Rosco!
First class Rosco.
Good for you pal.
Roscoe the comeback king?
From the depths Raz!! Currently due to rise 160k places! There is hope!
Cheers guys! 4 weeks of red arrows so it’s a real tonic!
If bonuses stay as they are then I’m on 52 with just Sanchez to play.
Definitely happy with that score but not happy with no one left to play tomorrow :/
Nice scoring mate. How the fuck did Soton not score today?
No idea Raz… Brought in cedric for a hit… Long term plan, but still
47 Raz
Koscielny and Sanchez to come and I’m going to the top of my local minileague tonight!
On the top of the world?
Always!
How long is kun out for?
4 games
Why 4?
I think it’s automatically three but it will depend on how the referee reports it as to whether that is extended.
Because he already had one red card this season, if I understood correctly.
Second red of the season equals an automatic 4 gamer
Should be 5 or 6.
Should be 56, going back to Nish’s hit Makes me squirm looking at it but Luiz was very lucky, had his leg been 2 inches lower and in the ground he’d have a very serious issue right now. It was reckless and with intent to harm.
Abysmal week again, flying down the rankings. Aguero is out of my team and he isn’t coming back for the rest of the season, his price is a joke and ruins the balance of the team, should of got rid of him long ago.
Rumors going around that Sanchez just left warmups!!
Costa or zlatan to replace kun?
I’d say Costa.
I personnally consider getting Ibra, but I already have Costa. And frankly, he is the player I am most satisfied with. So now with the incoming fixtures…
Depends on what the Costa diagnosis is on that injury.
Last week I had to substitute Coutinho. This week I have to substitute Kun. What happened to free will! I had so clever plans…
Anyway. 1FT, 1.1 ITB
Straightforward thing would be to do Kun->Kane.
But I am tempted to do Kun, Gundogan–>Ibra, Eriksen for -4
Does that make sense?
If I go for the former, it is best to move now. If I go for the latter, i will at least wait for ManU game.
Actually now that I think about it, I would just fo Kun->Ibra this week. Taking a hit for Eriksen before a game in Manchester would not be wise.
That makes sense but having Kane for his run of games after this next one does too.
True.
Actually, I also had in mind that Tottenham had a great long run of fixtures. But when you compare it to ManU’s, it is actually much shorter. 2 great games for the Spurs, and then it turns difficult. While ManU has at least 5 favourable fixtures in a row…
On the other hand, Tottenham’s self-confidence must be much higher than ManU’s…
