Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Question for my client league team, preparing for the busy festive period and looking at the midfield. Can do Barry to Siggy and then next week possibly Walcott to Lallana or I can upgrade Walcott to Firmino and Barry to a 6.6.
So what’s better for the next 5-6 weeks ( not withstanding injuries obviously)
1: Firmino and say philips/zaha up to value of 6.6
2: siggy and lallana / Walcott
3: siggy and Firmino and downgrade a defender to make up the difference
4:something else

I might just use this week to upgrade Pieters or Holebas to a Chelski defender and then maybe look to upgrade barry or Capoue with the spare change next week, I don’t think I’d be eager to sell Wally before a home game against Stoke if I already have Sanchez.

Hi guys, thoughts on the Wildcard team? 1.5 in the bank so a bit of money to play around with. Worth upgrading Nyom/Dawson to Vertonghen or keeping the cash for future transfers further up the pitch?
I’d upgrade Dawson to be honest.

Long time reader, 1st time commenter. Had a diabolical week except for an outstanding captain performance from sanchez. Already swapped kun for kane which leaves me with 4.1m in the bank and I’m willing to spend loads of points to make my team actually do something worthwhile. Thought Pedro would provide me with enough Chelsea coverage but that’s looking like a poor decision. Should I just make him hazard now and be done with it? I’d really like a Chelsea defender too but I’m also feeling light on Liverpool and man utd players… Ahhh!

I would look at KDB to Haz, Daniels to Alonso and if you need to fund that then Pedro to Lallana.
Hi Ben I would do Daniels to Alonso & maybe Pedro to Firmino or Mane but not sure about going without Che cover up front Thk KDB to Haz might work
It makes me sad to trade in KDB but I reckon you are both right. Changing him to hazard actually saves me money and seems like he will defo score more points. (famous last words) Was already thinking Alonso too so that’s a winner also. How are Liverpool looking without Courtinio? Do we think Pedro is going to play next week or should I throw a Liverpool midfielder in just on the basis that West Ham can’t defend?
Liverpool aren’t looking bad. I think with Lallana back next week they should be creative again so I wouldn’t worry about no Couthino too much.
I’d wait till we know what’s up with Pedro injury wise first but he could do for another week.
