Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Do yourself a big favour though and slap yourself in the face and ask why you do. Enjoy GW14 with us on Live Match Chat. Ask anything you want, post anything you want, just be sure to filter the answers with a wry smile

What a game for the neutral!!
Says an United fan? Rich. 😛
Bold and beautiful.
Don’t call me Rich
7 goals at Bournemouth and Firminho not involved in any :cuss:
Firminho should be deployed as main striker for a team like this. If not, put him in the goal.
Is it just me that thinks maybe Liverpool have too many great strikers to play with just one centre forward? Idk, I mean obviously this system has worked almost flawlessly up until now and I love the football being played. I probably just want to see Sturridge back in the team consistently! But honestly the fact that a player such as Wijnaldum is keeping a player such as Studge or Origi out of the team just weirds me out kinda haha. But again the 4-3-3 works soooooo well it’s so good usually. Ok wait ok I know what I’m saying – we have no plan B and why can’t a sort of 4-4-2 be the solution to that?!?! Give it a try Kloppo!!! See what happens maybe we’ll win 10-0 hahaa
Also Firmino could be considered a striker here. I’d love to see him and sturridge make a partnership up top! Countinho on the left, mane on the right – only problem is fitting in lallana… Maybe a 4-1-3-2 where he’s a CAM? Ok dreaming up stufff now haha
My goodness how bad is Karius? Awful, utterly useless performance – he looked caught off guard every time Bournemouth took a shot! I had been saying Mignolet looked better than him this season, but not this much better…
Had Ake on my bench to top it all off! Almost laughing at me lol
In other news, miki starts like many thought he would. Honestly, I would be more surprised if he doesn’t get a double points haul today. Really wanted him this week but i couldn’t fit him in with Kane – with Aguero now tho got some cash to spend! For real though, I’m sure he’s gonna play really well today.
Hey bob,
I didn’t see Liverpool today but I got enough from the radio to figure out that this was some of the usual Liverpool failings coming to the fore. I would point out though that it is only one game and the overall league position is still very good.
A bad day at the office?
Anyway, I think this is the goalkeeper Klopp really wants so I’d expect him to be backed for a while yet. Playing Lucas at CB does not make sense to me and never has. Klavan for his limitations, is sitting on the bench and I thought he did OK against Leeds midweek. Strange.
Guys
Which is the better option:
A. Walcott and Morgan to hazard and Ake/Pieters for a -8
B. Firmino to hazard for a -4
Or stick and roll with what I’ve got.
Mate this is by no means a bad team at all! If I were you I’d probably stick with what I’ve got and but bench Morgan. Basically, i don’t think a -4 is required – you have to be sure the player you bring in will get more than 4 points more than the player you sold, and I don’t think you’re guaranteed that with Firmino vs a bad west ham defence or with a -8 for a Haz against a good west brom defence.
Ok thats my thoughts, but yea no Ake is a good buy if he can keep his place so I’d keep the Morgan move in mind for next week. He’s not guaranteed to play next week tho as Daniels may be back.
Afternoon Mitro.
I like the sound of ‘A’ with a “but” .. . .
The but is, I don’t think the moves are needed this week. Walcott out makes sense as he isn’t a patch on Sanchez who you have anyway so I’d be in favour of him leaving your team. I would go Pieters. Stoke look tight enough this season so hopefully there will be more clean sheets to come.
Maybe do these moves next week.
This game could turn out tasty after these early tackle’s, how Rojo hasn’t gone is a mystery.
How bad was the Mane injury?
Serious?
Some details would be greatly appreciated
