Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Do yourself a big favour though and slap yourself in the face and ask why you do. Enjoy GW14 with us on Live Match Chat. Ask anything you want, post anything you want, just be sure to filter the answers with a wry smile

Anyone know what the first choice United defence would be if they were all fit? I need to shift Cameron with an injury and bad fixtures coming up.Exclude Rojo as the guy is loco, and will spend more time banned than on the pitch.
Jones has played the last 3 and is looking good so far. He seems a “proper” defender and at 4.7 he fits my price range and Utd have some good fixtures coming after Spurs.
Probably stay with Williams (Eve) for their game at Watford but after maybe switch to a West Ham defender for their next 3 games. Crazy or what?
I’d probably go with Valencia. He gets forward a lot too.
Too expensive.I have got Brunt & Smith(bou) and considering Janmatt for the guys who get forward.
Ah fair enough. I don’t think Jones plays when everyone’s fit. West Ham have some nice fixtures coming up, but banking on their defence is verging on insanity. Much similar to my decision to do Kun to Carroll last night!
Kruz
Jones seems an OK shout. No frills, no nonsense but if the clean sheets are there then what’s the problem?
I’d steer well clear of West Ham United!
But when its Burnley & Hull at home followed by Swansea away it could be a worthwhile punt. Not many of the “top” teams are keeping clean sheets and West Ham defenders are cheap.May go for Janmatt as once I get a fit defence I can switch them all in and out as I play 3-5-2.
Kruzcampo – Valencia, Baily, Smalling, Shaw.
How bad was the Mane injury?
Serious?
Some details would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
It looked like a little knock on his heel (I think). He tried to run it off, but was taken off as a precautionary measure. Pretty sure it was at 3-1, so Klopp thought he had it wrapped up anyway. Pretty sure it’s nothing serious. I’m looking at ditching Firmino for him.
Cheers mate.
I was clearly drunk last night. Just realised that doing Aguero to Carroll wasn’t just a bad dream! Oh well, at least it freed up funds for Wally to Sanchez, and has left me 3.4 to improve Allen.
I was drunk last night also, seems like i did a – 4. Oh well it does not matter anymore I have dropped 800k places in 3 gws
lol aguero > carrol thats a depressing transfer :/ Origi or Kelechi all the way
You sure of their gametime? I also don’t like the idea if transferring someone in who def won’t be playing when others are fit / available.
both are just eager to score and prove themselves. I think Kelechi is better but I think Pep more likely to play weird formation or not utilise him as much as Klopp will Origi. Origi scored three in his last 3 in all comps I think. With Coutinho gone now, I think Origi will be set to start. I can keep Austin or get one of them, I think one of them is going to be bringing in more in the short periods they features. Its a punt but everytime I bought in Kelechi or Origi (three times now) they got me good points especially Kelechi. And no-one else had him
I rate them both, I’m just not convinced either will get a solid run in the team. If they do they’ll get you points.
Ibra’s probably looked the worst player on the pitch so far and still bags a goal, nice.
United is terrible and unbelievable Rojo did not see red.
For that matter Barry should have been off as well with 2 yellows..
They should just give Barry a yellow before the start to save the fuss, he makes Cattermole blush at times.
Meh, if he’d of picked up that first yellow then there’s no way he even tries for that deliberate handball, not really comparable to Rojo.
He’s a bloody liability. How many games has he played again? He should know better by now.
Aye, that was shocking by the ref, I’m not sure if he’ll get a retrospective ban for that either with him getting a yellow, shocking.
Lol at Zlatan goal. United was pretty terrible so far. I am leaning towards Kane now.
I’ve gone Kane because of those home games. I prefer Zlatan as a player but Mourinho is so defensive
Zlatan is a completely different class player to Kane, but for the same reasons I’ve got Kane and no Ibra. I do think Ibra will rack up some points in December tho.
United are less reliable than Tottenham. Mourinho has no clue what he is doing. No stability. Every gameweek a different team. Only securities are Ddg, Pogba and Ibra.
Typical Zlatan goal! Creates one out of no where! Unbelievable how the ball just refused to go in the net.. Story of United’s season!! ?
Jeet
He’s certainly throwing his hat in the ring for an Aguero replacement with that goal. He is in a bit of form and some favourable games ahead.
More like United are complete shite and Mourinho is making excuses to safe face.
