Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Do yourself a big favour though and slap yourself in the face and ask why you do. Enjoy GW14 with us on Live Match Chat. Ask anything you want, post anything you want, just be sure to filter the answers with a wry smile

How shite are West Ham gone?
Hmmm. I really don’t rate United and Mourinho’s tactics. Ibra is not super bad but I was not impressed with him today. I have to go with Kane instead.
When Raz?
Been saying this for a while but Ive had enough of Red arrows (885K overall now!!!) and Aguero’s suspension forced my hand… so WC time.
Current Squad:
DDG Jaku
Prodl Williams Souare Amat Walker
Hazard Firmino Gundgan Walcott Fletcher
Lukaku Benteke Aguero
0.0m itb
Potential WC Squad?:
Courtois Jaku (Cheapest and obviously will only play Courtois)
Prodl Fonte Ake (Will he keep his spot?), Amat Walker
Hazard Firmino Gundogan (Maybe someone else?), Sanchez Fletcher
Austin Benteke Kane
0.0m itb
Else Help me please?
Costa is a must if on WC I think.
Dreamer,
I wanted him but then cant Sanchez and Kane, and already have Hazard so its a risk I guess I have to take
What if you did Anichebe for Austin, Costa for Benteke, Philips over Fletcher, what have you left for 2 mids?
If I lose Austin and Benteke for Costa and Anichebe I will be 1m short
Tekkers to Costa and Firmino to Lallana? Lallana will be back in the XI this week for sure.
Innit,
Would be 1.4m short of that move
Can over Lallana?
Isnt Can too defensive?
Downgrade Courtois and Fonte.
form has Can as a 6 pointer
BrookyBoy,
If I go with Lallana then I have 9.6m to get a def and keeper
Went with Can so far… changed my Keeper to Cech and got Alonso in for Fonte.
Cech Jaku
Alonso Walker Ake Prodl Amat
Hazard Sanchez Gundogan Can Fletcher
Kane Costa Austin
0.0m itb
Cedric and Pickford/Valdes ?
if you lost one of Alonso or Walker (prob Walker) for a 4.5 or 5M defender, it would give you enough to go Lallana over Gundogan , and then you have Fer/Philips/ type – that work ?
****GUYS THIS IS BIG****
Not sure if anyone has posted this before, but regardless, this is a MASSIVE achievement!!!
A site of this size and age, is the FIFTH BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD at Fantasy Football. 5TH IN THE WORLD!!!
This is a testament of what a fantastic site this is and the incredible advice that everyone here contributes to! I think a massive thanks to the people who make this place what it is is due.
Here’s a screen-grab from the official fpl homepage.
Regardless of what people’s scores were this week, this is something we can all be extremely proud of!!! What an achievement!! :ok:  :worthy: :red-flag:        :bouncy-balls: WOOOT!!!
Thanks for pointing that out Bob, it’s much appreciated. We aren’t a small or insignificant site anymore, we rank higher than most in almost all things, other than Scout, of course. The FPL league ranking as you show there is driven mainly by twitter and we deliberately don’t promote it on there as others do. Geek and Updates are on that list there, neither has the views or comments that we do, We’d be on there more regularly if we tweeted the league code more regularly but we choose not to.
That’s makes sense to me now. Always wondered why scout was so popular/ranked highly as the site is a navigational hazard, (only went there a couple of times, just to look, promise) just couldn’t find way round with ease. Kudos to the fantasy football247 Web developer this site has zero navigation issues. Only thing is I can never seem to do the emojis, but that’s is of course down to me. ::):
Cool, we’ve hit the big time!!
Thanks for the screenshot BillisBob.
Thoughts for the upcoming gameweek and beyond?
Foster, Pickford
Holebas, Evans, Shawcross, Lovren, Amat.
Sigurdsson, Firmino, Sanchez, Walcott, Hazard.
Costa, Austin, Diomande.

Looks like you are set up to play 3-5-2 to me which is fine. I would try to go Walcott – to KDB (to cover Manchester City) somehow. Think you are short of s straight swap so I would think about Shawcross – Pieters or even Lovren – Cook as a makeweight.
Hi Cookie, Mitro and Everybody,
Help me some advice!
1. Gundogan/Allen & Koscielny to Sigurdsson & Ake
2. Gundogan/Allen & Koscielny to Fer & Alonso
3. Gundogan/Allen & Stones to Fer & Cedric
4. Gundogan & Firminho to Sigurdsson & Lallana
5. Gundogan & Firminho & Koscielny to Sigurdsson & Lallana & Alonso
6. Only Gundogan/Allen to Fer
7. Others
Thanks Cookie, Mitro and Everybody!

I think you are fine to let Gundogan go just now (as you have KDB). How about Gundogan to Phillips or Zaha?
Allen may be back in this coming week, you never know.
