Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 14 FPL News: Oh dearie me, look what we start the game-week with? ‘A Clash of the Cash’ no less. Two continental firebrand managers at the top of their game and two title contenders going head-to-head. Doesn’t get much juicier than this really. Cue the boring 0-0. Unless Stones plays… in which case captain Costa. 3pm then brings us five games, most notably Pardew’s last, if he makes it there at all, and Spurs entertaining Swansea in a much anticipated goal fest. Cue the 0-0. Yet another London derby sees Saturday out as Arsenal visit West Ham in what should be an entertaining encounter. Sunday sees a Coutinho-less Liverpool try to adjust to life without him as they visit a Bournemouth side who looked impressive last weekend despite losing to Arsenal and the last time they faced a defence as shaky as Klopp’s they hammered Hull 6-1, could be goals in this one. Later on Sunday Rooney checks out his inevitable retirement home, that’s if Jose lets him off the bench. That’s if he’s even on it himself. Or can manage to stay there even if he is. All bets are off. Our game-week closes on Monday with ‘Boro hosting Hull. How or why this one is being televised we don’t quite know, quotas have a lot to answer for, if you somehow own a player from either then you’ll probably still be mildly interested. Do yourself a big favour though and slap yourself in the face and ask why you do. Enjoy GW14 with us on Live Match Chat. Ask anything you want, post anything you want, just be sure to filter the answers with a wry smile

Nice team
Guess ur going 3-5-2
But I’d probley play 3-4-3 and play Anichebe
Don’t lose Kos
Defo lose Lov
Thanks Bigpopz. I have been on a 3-5-2 for a while and it is not too bad.
I think you are right that Lovren is the one to go as Liverpool cannot defend
Hey everyone.
So after a decent week I think I’ve finally got a team I like..
In fact with Aguero outta my team I’ve a lot more premium options as cappo
My only real concern is in defence
Mcauly or Holibas to start ?
Feel free to RMT
BigP,
Holebas for me mate, without doubt.
Yeah I agree with Cooks.
Me too
Yep, Pulis hasn’t been able to control the stronger sides. City and Liverpool put 6 by them combined, I suspect CFC will probably keep the average of giving up 3 vs the stronger sides going.
Afternoon all when is the double gameweek?
Unlikely to be one before March I believe Shanec
First blanks appear in 26 for the finalists of the EFL cup and whoever they were slotted to play that week in the EPL. In 28 there should be blanks also for the quarterfinalists of the FA Cup. In 34 there will be a DGW for sure and Probably 37 also. If they do like they did last season and play a DGW during a Champions League game, then GW32,33, 35 or 36 could be a possibility but that is less likely as they will probably only use that option to avoid a triple GW for a team. There is also a very remote possibility that they could sneak in a double in GW24, but that gives them very little time to plan for it, so almost no chance of that. GW 25 has a small chance if the teams involved in the blank in GW26 are all already eliminated from the FA CUP. That however could be a double in 25 or simply have the people at FPL say that is actually part of 26 since that would be played a week later from the rest of GW25 and a week earlier than GW27. Midweek GW26 is also a possibility for the finalists from the EFL cup to play. Say What?! Well yeah, that would mean that there would be no actual blank for the finalists they would just play midweek of GW26, which is what they will do if neither team has a FA cup replay midweek.
:cuckoo:
Wow, that’s one hell of an answer. Almost Rainmanesc. Thanks for that.
Need some help after 3 terrible gws, only saved by captaining sanchez this week.
Have 1FT and 1.4m itb, plan on taking a -4 hit
Any ideas? Aguero to Costa is the obvious one, but don’t know whether to sort out lukaku or my terrible defence
Melon – Kun to Costa assuming the injury is nothing serious. I’d probably leave it there and get Kane for Lukaku for GW16.
Agree with Blue there.
Melon – I agree with the above but I would do both this week!
How does this team look for the following week?
Waxys, much depends on Costa recovering and Ibra not getting banned!
Will you be playing a Christmas tree formation or a 3-4-3?
Guys which one should I do?
A. Gun to Lallana
B. Gun to Eriksen
And Heaton to Grant.
I already have Kane and Firmino. I would need to sell Heaton to fund the second move. Cheers guys.
man u man
Who is your other GK because Butland should be returning for Stoke soon? I don’t see Grant being one to rely on.
Hey GP, my other GK is Pickford, so I would have a backup.
Butland suffered a setback on Friday night, so Grant should be safe for a few more weeks – awaiting more specific news from Hughes on Friday.
If this involves a -8 I’d do neither, I doubt Gundogan won’t start with Fernandinho getting suspended.
Hey Andy,It would be a -4 to do the second option.
I’m just going to assume that you’ve already got Kane so how about saving that FT this week and bring in Ericsson next week with the two FT’s rather than taking an unnecessary hit.
