Hey whats this Cup thing in FPL? It starts in GW18? How do we enter it?

    • 142.1
      Tekno-kun says:

The first round of the cup will be Gameweek 18.

      Qualifying

The top 2,097,152 scorers in Gameweek 17 will enter the first round. If there are more than 2,097,152 qualifiers then there will be a random draw amongst the lowest scorers to see who qualifies.

      How it works

Each qualifying team will be randomly drawn against another in the first round. The winner (the team with the highest gameweek score minus any transfer points), will progress to the second round and another random draw, the losers are out! This process continues until the final Gameweek when the two remaining teams contest the cup final.

If a cup match is drawn, then the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:

Most goals scored in the Gameweek
Fewest goals conceded in the Gameweek
      Virtual coin toss

need some opinions here.. got 2 FT
    Guzan(Harper)
    Vlaar, Williams(Swansea), Lovren, Mert (Rosenior)
    Ozil, Ramsey, Hazard, YYT (Colback)
    Aguero, Remy, Suarez..

Was thinkin about Remy>Lukaku & Rosenior>Gabiddon.. any thoughts? I think at this stage its essential to have an Everton defender?

      Kop Warrior says:

Abood – If you feel that it’s essential to have an Everton defender, why aren’t you bringing one in?

      • Abood says:

the only way im gonna afford Coleman or Jagi is by getting rid of Lovren, but then wouldnt have enough cash to get lukaku would be missing 0.1 exactly, and If I get Distin im gonna have to take a -4 hit to sweep Rosenior.. guess ill have to deal with him next week?

        • Abood – there’s plenty of time till the next GW…
Any chance your players // you need only 1 of them // to rise in price by 0.1 ?!?
          Link your team, mate !
We can then limit the number of posts and give u a sound advice…
          Quick & easy…

        • Abood says:

okay it should be linked now? is it showing? I really couldnt hold the urge to do Lovren>Distin, Remy>Lukaku before the prices rise..

        • Abood – Team linked now..all fine ;)…
Well, seems you ve already decided…
GL with the transfers, mate 😉

p.s. awesome scoring last gw…

        • Abood says:

thanks man. hahah I didn’t really understand the game well until week 6? after wasting about 140 points in transfers and not really knowing that a captain gets double. =/

        • Abood – Omg smile
So, guess this is ur 1st ever FPL season, eh ?
          We’ve all been there, mate…keep the faith…
The Game – is addictive :satansmoking:
          Cheers & GL 😉

      • I am going to double up with Everton defenders.

        • peakydave says:

Does anybody know what Oviedos gametime is gonna be over next month or so???? Is he a direct replacement for Baines or is he here for the longhaul!?!?!?!?
          Any toffees about??? smile

        • Tekno-kun says:

He is a replacement for Baines at left-back, but if he keeps performing well he could maybe take someone elses place when Baines is fit? Martinez also said that Baines is progressing faster than expected.

        • peakydave says:

Cheers Tekno!!! Definitely worth a shout next week at home to Fulham!!! 😉

        • Tekno-kun says:

Yeah, I think Baines is still some weeks away from being fit so he should be a starter for now.

        • inittowinit says:

Peaky he’s not classed a defender he’s classed as a midfielder so I would advise caution. He will be Evertons left back for the next 3 weeks or so. Beyond that he’s definitely playing his way into giving Martinez another option in midfield. But he has lots of those already.

        • Bench@BanterburyLeagues says:

Peaky glad your about , can i ask a favour if you change your team name can you e mail at banterburyleagues@gmail.com so i can update my records, its a nightmare to do the review & cup round up ,if people don’t

          cheers bench

        • peakydave says:

yes sorry bench didn’t realise mate will let you know in future!! 😉

        • peakydave says:

Cheers innit I did realise but 24 in 2 games cant be ignored,i will defo be keeping an eye on him tomorrow v the arse as they are home to Fulham next week!! smile

        • Bench@BanterburyLeagues says:

Everton have a great fixture list until the January wildcard.

I agree with Remy – Lukaku

Maybe roll the other one over

      The B says:

Everton’s next 6 fixtures are crispy. I think one of Everton’s back four is necessary. Coleman might be expensive, but if looking for someone cheaper, go for Distin.

    Ripcurl82 says:

    2FT 1.1 Bank

    Marshall (Mignolet)
    Coleman, Ridgewell, Dawson (Vlaar, Rosenior)
    Lallana, Yaya, Ramsey, Hazard
    Remy, Aguero, Suarez

    Options:

1, Remy – Lukaku (price due to rise) Mignolet – Howard (Mig price drop and fancy the risk of doubling up due to fixtures until January Wildcard)

2, downgrade Yaya and get Rooney

3, change Dawson or Rosenior & Lallana

Any other suggestions and advice please:

    Thanks

      The B says:

1 seems pretty good. WC will require a better team value with good selling price, so i guess that is being covered in option 1. Also, the players you bring in will have great fixtures.
