Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 16 FPL News: And the silly season begins… Our first game-week on top of another, quickly followed by another. Expect rotation, expect the unexpected. As much as traditional team selections may go out of the window, expected results often do too. Welcome to the beginning of the reason they give us an opportunity to select 15 playing players. We hope you took that particular gift and didn’t squander it as it’s one you may well need, starting this evening, in all probability. Talking of which we begin with two games on Tuesday as Bournemouth face a suddenly rejuvenated Leicester, don’t get too excited though, they won’t get to play against Stones and co every week. Arsenal then face a beleaguered and strangely uninterested Everton at Goodison. Wednesday then sees a bumper night with 8 fixtures in total with the likes of Spurs, Man City and Chelsea all having games from which they should, in theory, have us all celebrating good fantasy points…

Whether they do or not please feel free to join us on the journey and post your thoughts, feelings, frustrations and hopefully celebrations. And no doubt the odd rate my rate as GW17 follows in quick succession!

      • I tend to agree with nishant that Morgan to a Chelsea or Tottenham defender would give you a very decent defence with good options and cover. If you need cash then Firmino – Lallana looks the best bet for that.

      Firstly, brilliant game-week score. Congratulations.

      I would well Holebas, despite his assists, he is collecting yellow cards a bit too much for my liking and Pieters, and Stoke in general, just seem a lit more reliable and solid in my view.

      • Stoke have 3 clean sheets in the last 4 and 5 cs in the last 9,i’d hang onto Pieters he’s great value.I’d save your transfer.

    • Long term I rather have Pieters, if you can bench him vs LFC and CFC that be great.

    These festive fixtures aren’t going to plan and want to mix up my team a bit.

    Got 2FTs and willing to take a hit. So, which looks most promising out of these:

    Firm, Walcott and Austin OUT

    1) Carroll, Lalanna and Eriksen in
    2) Ibra, Snoddy and Chadli in

    • number 1 for me, I am not in love with Andy, but he might be able to do something, plus it includes Lallana and Eriksen so they should help. I would have said 2, but I really dislike The Baggies fixtures and Hull aren’t great either, plus they are Hull. Ibra does look a good option though.

        • It’s peer pressure because he voted for him on the site team 2 weeks ago. I think he should get him in as punishment smile

          I have 1.5 left with option 1. When I looked last night I could afford Tekkers but 0.1 short now sad

          Thinking Carroll for a few weeks as a punt (and as Init mentioned, I wanted him over Itchy in the site team. (He has actually scored more points than Itchy))

          I could also use the 1.5 left over to upgrade my defence or be more drastic and sell Haz to fit in Ibra next week?!

    • Hey Popz Attack looks good and defence isn’t the worst but can be a lot better. Do you have FTs and Money itb?

    • I’d play Holebas over Amat or Williams.

  5. Afternoon fellas. Which of these options is best:
    1. Pedro to Lallana
    2. Pedro and Mane to Lallana and Pogba (-4)
    3. Pedro, Mane and Philips to Lallana, Pogba and Redmond (-8)

    Any other moves I can’t think of right now??

      That will do it for this week
      At a time when many are taking hits, I guess just not taking a hit will atleast take you 10 12k places higher

      But may be wait for news on Origi before the transfer

    • I’d save your transfer and give Pedro a go at that Palace defence,especially as Hazard is only 50/50 to play by all accounts.

      • I’d put Pieters in front of Nyom too 😉
