Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News: After the excitement (maybe not!) of the midweek fixtures we are back with a long weekend of games beginning on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea chasing records at Pardew’s Palace. We move swiftly on to four relatively dull looking games at 3pm, if we are being totally honest about it! It reads more like a relegation audition or next seasons typical Championship fixture list than any sort of Premier League bonanza. Ahem, sorry, we’re supposed to build you up into a frenzy of excitement to encourage the conversation about what is to come and what is happening aren’t we?! We’ll actually forgive you if you leave at 2pm and return at 5pm though, just this once! The evening game could actually be an interesting one as Man United visit West Brom, both of whom enjoyed midweek wins. Sunday begins with a south coast derby followed by arguably the clash of the weekend as Pep meets Wenger at the Etihad. At the same time as that one Spurs will seek to gain some ground on the leaders as they host Burnley. Our game-week closes out on Monday with another derby game, this time on Merseyside. Anybody else finding the manic nature of price rises and drops a pain in the arse this season ? Pressuring you into making early transfers,sometimes even before the gw has finished ? Never known a season where,especially the rises have been so brutal.I used to like to have a good think about my moves and make an informed decision on a friday night but find myself having to do early transfers and making mistakes.Cameron going down in price last night has pissed me off too :cuss:
I’ve stopped watching it, the worst transfer moves I’ve made this season have all come about when I’ve tried to be a clever dick and tried to jump on a player because I was scared of him rising by point 1 or 2, funnily enough one of my main rivals now in the cash league is a ghost team so there’s always another way.
It’s pretty crazy isn’t it. There seems to be a real risk vs reward scenario, where serious savings can be made by keeping an eye on price changes. My team value pisses all over everyone else in my ML (cos they’re not as addicted to it as I am!). It hasn’t bitten me yet (touch wood). But I’m regularly making early transfers (already done Kane to Ibra this week) and then crossing my fingers. It’s bound to catch up with us at some point. But yes, I’d love to think about it all week and make the move Friday night!
Arsenal have some tasty fixtures coming up dont they.
They certainly do. Sanchez is a differentiator for me in my ML, so I’m quietly confident.

They do indeed. Kos and Walcott have become cheaper so they may find some new buyers. Sanchez and Bellerin are excellent but there is always Ozil. Choices, choices.
Leprechaun – might be a lot of Hazard to Walcott or Ozil I think
It is quite possible but I would love to find a way to keep Hazard. His scores in the last few GWs have not been great but he will surely come good again. Nobody is perfect every week
Guys Im thinking of just getting zaha for fletcher as my fifth mid and benching costa rather than trying to buy him back.. any thoughts?

Afternoon Everyone how did yesterday go? I’m on 25 with 6 left to play so hope I’ll double that score.
Have United finally remembered to play football or is this just a ploy to lure everyone in?? They have nice fixtures coming up but the only way I can see of getting United cover is Kane to Ibra. Would still want Spurs cover though so I’m thinking of making these moves:
Mane, Pedro and Kane to Lallana, Eriksen and Ibra for a -4, worth it??

Cheers leprechaun. Yeah I didn’t really like my attacking players this week and Alonso almost got me a goal so it really could have been great!!
I have to make 2 transfers to bring in Ibra for Kane so I don’t know. Still not entirely convinced by United to be honest.
